The carcass of an unusual globster that bears a striking resemblance to an oversized shih tzu has washed up on a beach in Cagdainao, Dinagat Islands on Wed afternoon.
The unidentified giant blob is believed to have surfaced following a 6.7 earthquake in the nearby province of Surigao.
Worried locals have promptly taken selfies with the weird, hairy mass, which measured about 15 feet in length. The remains are said to be in an “advanced state of decompsotion.”
Twitter and Facebook users offered up suggestions on what the creature could be.
Some are saying that it looks like Appa from Avatar: The Last Airbender or Falkor from The NeverEnding Story.
Realistically speaking, it could be a dugong, a medium-sized marine mammal vulnerable to extinction.
We’re still awaiting judgement if this deeply strange creature had magical powers.

LOL – oooh Jeff – scientists say it’s a decomposing whale. The white strands are the fibers of the decomposing muscle. The earthquake just stirred it up.
Good job taking a news story and putting it on “before it’s news” tho.
Said news source sent it for us to put up. We like to be helpful.
