When we hear the phrase “You got it bad”, what comes to mind? Is it being in love or the hit song from Usher and his relationship with then girlfriend, Chilli? Is it holding a grudge on someone that we need to let go of? Or is it a slap in the face to bring us back to reality? Last week, I received a text from an acquaintance that they were about to undergo a serious medical procedure. The amazing part is I never knew they were even sick. I just assumed that life got busy and we just hadn’t crossed paths in a while. In that moment, everything I thought I was upset, angry, disappointed or unsettled about seemed microscopic. Think you got it bad? There’s always someone who has it worse than you.

Although there are some who constantly remind us that they are down and out (if your toe hurts, someone just ran over their leg….SMH), there are people dealing with some serious, life threatening and mind boggling issues.
