How come things never change I hear them say,
If things never changed we wouldn’t have today,
more and more it seems life is about how good a game you can play.
They say not to dwell in the past then why don’t it lay?
Why do people we love go away?
How does one let go of the past and live for today?
If moving forward is so simple, why do so many stray?
If lifes decisions are either black or white, why is there so much gray?
How come so many find the solution by running away?
Why is I’m sorry and Goodbye so hard to say?
FOr what reason do those we love betray?
How come the innocent are always the ones who have to pay?
Tell me how those who do nothing in the world still have a payday?
Or the reason when the ship sinks they call a mayday?
Have you wondered why it is we bow our heads when we pray?
How come the blame of a social breakdown is blamed on the games our children play?
Maybe part of the problem but not the only, look at the news today.
The world is changing every second of the day,
Please don’t become the one who has to say,
I wished I would have let things go and lived my life for today.
Don’t take today for granted is all I’m trying to say.
Live like there is no tomorrow, live just for today.
