There must be a different kind of parenting (and decorating) style in Russia. A frantic mother, who didn’t reveal her name (I wouldn’t have either), recently rushed her 12 month old toddler to the hospital close to her home in Chelyabinsk. But it wasn’t for an ear infection, fever or a common cold. Nope it was something a little more magnetic than that. The mom started noticing that many of her refrigerator magnets were rapidly disappearing. Then it hit her (too bad somebody else didn’t do the same to her)…..her baby. After getting to the hospital in a state of panic, she was informed by the doctor that her child had swallowed many of the refrigerator magnets. One or two is permissible After all, kids do move quickly and there’s no telling what they can get into in a matter of minutes, let alone seconds. But this toddler somehow managed to swallow 42 (yes, you read it right) refrigerator magnets!! WTH?!?!
To top it all off, the mom’s rationale was that the toddler was left alone in the room for a bit and must have swallowed the magnets. First of all, who even has 42 magnets on their refrigerator available to take off anyway? And for her to have noticed after the toddler swallowed so many of them, there must be much more than that on the refrigerator.
