An American Recovery – Police Restrain Hundreds of People Begging For Food

When the bank foreclosed on the Laney Supermarket grocery store, managers were left with thousands of pounds of food and nowhere to put it. So, they moved non-perishable items to the parking lot for those who might need it. As news of the give-away spread throughout the neighborhood, a crowd numbering in the hundreds quickly swooped in.

But the goods never made it into the hands of people who desperately needed, as local police barricaded the stockpile of food. They called in a disposal company and tossed every bit of it into the trash, angering many of those who had hoped they could take some of the food home. MORE HERE

  • When people hide behind the “law” that trumps common sense, that’s when the legal and justice system is on the verge of breakdown.

  • Its EXACTLY the same story that’s always played out. When the SHTF the only ones who can get what they need are government and it will aggressively protect itself from those who are pissed and hungry. In uncertain circumstances people who are paid by the government to shoot are going to do it because if they they don’t do the shooting they will be the shot. This is EXACTLY how the governments we are being to sent to war against conduct their business and if I’m not mistaken the ‘injustice’ of it is part of the reason used to rationalise our interference… and it turns out the assholes selling us this stuff are worse than our supposed enemies because at least those enemies dont lie about it..As soon as a government starts setting itself apart either financially or cognitively there’s trouble brewing.

  • All that food made me hungry, just had a nice curry, homemade with a pitta bread, well and truly stuffed.
Might just manage a biscuit with me brew

  • It’s not their food thank you, and if i was the bank, I’d do the same d@mnnn thing. you don’t pay , then you don’t play. Just because you’re poor and there is food laying in the street, doesn’t mean you’re entitled to it. you know how to drive…so what? Does that mean just because you need to go get laid, you can just boost anyone’s car on the road? That’s the wrong way of thinking. i don’t care how hungry you are. you can’t expect to get a free ride from someone who can’t pay their bills. it’s not the banks fault. it’s the store’s fault, for defaulting and then just throwing the spoils away.
