An Oregon man who escaped Cuba’s communist regime in the 1950s blasted lawmakers pushing four new gun control bills during a public hearing in the Oregon State Senate Committee on Judiciary Friday.
“I’ve been through it. I’ve been there. You don’t know what freedom is because you never lost it!” said Manuel Martinez.
Martinez, who fled to the United States in 1954, went on to explain the similarities between Cuban gun control legislation introduced as communism and socialism swept his country and what he now sees unfolding. MORE HERE
