Our Hope Seen In Kim Davis
If you are really upset at Kim Davis’ refusal to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, you are most probably either watching way too much television, or you have no active relationship with the God who made us all – or both. If you are pleased that Kim was charged and jailed for contempt of court, you are very likely spiritually lost. My words here will be seen by many as the typical flow of what has been labeled as ‘ignorant extremist hatred.’ But I am not daunted by such criticism, knowing that I am simply one of the ‘foolish’ things that God has chosen to help in confounding the people who see themselves as wise.
Again, a White House spokesman has stood before a hundred rolling cameras, straightfaced and unflinchingly lying to the nation and the world – assuring us that “not even the president” is above the law. In justifying the arraignment of a woman who has been true to her God-given conscience – and who has indeed violated no written law – Obama’s press secretary, in his glib deceit, so predictably used this travesty of ‘justice’ to exonerate our traitorous and blatantly Constitution-defying chief executive. And most people will buy it, simply because they elect not to listen or know any better.
The machine of political correctness is rolling along in full sway. Only a comparitive handfull will dare to stand and point out the shame of our ‘tolerance’ of things that are clearly perverted. The world is watching the once intimidatingly powerful America now spinelessly enshroud herself in denial of the truth. What used to be a God-fearing nation of lions led by lions is now only a culturally fragmented mob manipulated by craft and emotion rather than an abiding respect for our Constitution and prayerful caution.
We have bought into the lie that lies are simply misrepresented truth. Precisely as God had warned – thousands of years ago – we now are in a time where good is declared to be bad, and corruption is seen as good.
The Christian church especially has surrendered any opportunity it may have once had to truly and powerfully deal with this perversion. Naive and biblically illiterate Christians allowed themselves to be dragged out of the solid ground of inspired morality and into the nonsensical and abundantly funded arena of homosexual apologetics. For the past twenty years, like coyotes nipping at the heels of scared cattle, they have kept anemic believers running in a circular and absurd argument challenging the plausibility of satanic reasoning (rather than sticking with the Script our Director already prepared for us).
In case you have forgotten, being homosexual has no relationship to racial inequality. And in case you are unaware — in your insular and tv-controlled ignorance — homosexual behavior (and its ruinous effect upon our healthy society) goes way beyond the popularly promoted innocence of two people of the same sex simply being ‘sweet’ on each other, or holding hands in public. Neither is it about some emancipatory ‘paradigm shift’ in some ever-evolving refinement of human sexual relationships.
While sometimes mimicking aspects of heterosexuality, homosexuality cannot legitimately be compared with NORMAL male-female romance, marital commitment and sex. Rather, it’s just all about men and women who are starved for healthy (nonsexual) same-sex affection and are intent upon satisfying that hunger through avenues and methods that God never designed or intended. Real homosexuals are trapped in a web of bottomless need in which love is confused with and sublimated by sex.
If people are genuinely curious enough to discover, for themselves, the twisted basis and fruit of homosexuality, they needn’t look any further than how the self-proclaimed ‘queers’ deal with their critics. Untempered hatred and violent intolerance is the standard response. And the crescendo expression of a gay life (unlike the heterosexual who often finds complete expression and fulfilment in all sorts of activities and pursuits) is gay sex. Period. The gay life is hunger-based. The normal, heterosexal life finds great meaning and satifaction in all sorts of things – even apart from any sex.
Even the liberal media’s lauding and glorifying of Bruce Jenner’s dressing up like a woman is just more distraction from the glaringly simple issue here: Homosexuals, no matter how hard they try or rationalize, will never be what they are not. Two men or women ACTING like a married couple or role-playing a mom and dad will never be that, nor produce the fruit that naturally results from that. No matter how artful their gender-bending, nor how much consensual validation they may milk from today’s politically correct clones, the FACT still remains that homosexuality is a wrong that won’t make it past God’s final and supreme court.
Kim Davis’ big ‘crime’ is that she is simply defending what our Lord told us to occupy until He returns. Her worst enemy isn’t the gays or even the devil. It’s all the silent hypocrites who refuse to be as brave.
