Despite being muzzled by The View producers on her first day, new panelist Candace Cameron-Bure is making a mark on the liberal TV show and standing up for her conservative beliefs.
Even as she has been added as a panelist, Cameron-Bure has not been able to make every episode of the morning talk show because she is finishing up work on the first season of her new TV series based on the 80s show Full House. So Cameron-Bure wasn’t on set during the recent discussion of Dr. Ben Carson’s comments about the suitability of a practicing Muslim becoming president of the United States.
During the broadcast, The View host Whoopi Goldberg and the other panelists launched into a segment mischaracterizing Dr. Carson’s statement that a Muslim who practices Sharia is not a suitable candidate for president.
Carson infuriated liberals with his comments that someone who places Islam ahead of the U.S. Constitution is not a person that Americans should vote for.
During The View discussion, Goldberg proved that she didn’t understand Carson’s comments when she attacked him over the “no religious test” segment in the U.S. Constitution.
Since Cameron-Bure wasn’t on set during the discussion, she participated in the only way open to her, on Twitter.
Take God out of our country or out of our government, and you’ve taken any protection away we may have had. Look at history!! @TheView

Later, panelist Joy Behar attacked Carson over his ideas on science. “Somebody who’s a doctor, some of the things that come out of his mouth. He says that he doesn’t believe in evolution!” Behar said. Co-host Michelle Collins also jumped in, saying, “For an educated guy, a minority, to come out and say that. It’s so shocking to me.” Cameron-Bure had a reply for this, too.
So, an “educated” person must believe in evolution?! What?! @TheView

Once Cameron-Bure is finished with her TV series, she will join the panel daily on The View. Expect sparks to fly.
