A new video, purportedly released by ISIS, threatens further attacks against Western nations and identified Washington, D.C. specifically.
“The video, which appeared on a site used by Islamic State to post its messages, begins with news footage of the aftermath of Friday’s Paris shootings in which at least 129 people were killed,” Reuters reports.
The message is delivered by a man identified as Al Ghareeb the Algerian, who was dressed in fatigues and a turban. It is directed to Western nations currently engaged in the Syrian Civil War.
“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” he said.

The authenticity of the video, which was reportedly made by ISIS fighters in Iraq, could not be immediately verified.
France has announced it will not end its airstrikes in Syria and in fact launched its largest mission yet over the weekend. “French authorities said Sunday night’s air strikes destroyed a jihadi training camp and a munitions dump in the city of Raqqa, where Iraqi intelligence officials say the attacks on Paris were planned,” according to the Daily Mirror. The attack was carried out in coordination with U.S. forces.
In the ISIS video, Al Ghareeb the Algerian also warned Europe more attacks are coming. “I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and (gun) silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before,” he said.
In an apparent reference to the Syrian peace talks taking place in Vienna, which are being headed by the United States, another man identified in the video as Al Karrar the Iraqi tells French President Francois Hollande, “[W]e have decided to negotiate with you in the trenches and not in the hotels.”
