Many people think that “Doomsday preppers” are pretty big oddballs. They are people who are preparing for end of the world scenarios nowinstead of later. Although they may be getting ready a bit early, who can really know for sure? All we can really know is that they have some pretty ingenious ideas up their sleeves. They are modern day MacGuyvers because, when the zombies attack and the dollar collapses, we all have to be like that.

These are neat little tricks that literally anyone can use. You don’t need to be a doomsday prepper to know how to quickly make a fire that lasts for a long time.

Magnification through the bottom of a glass bottle can start fire in 3 minutes. If it’s raining use steel wool with factory soap in it.
I have a 7 pack of Scripto lighters from Wallyworld, $1.88 and they wont rot your teeth either.
Neat. Have seen it done with plain foil, but gum paper is even better.
Sadly, 99% of gum wrapper don’t contain foil any more.
Um, perfect for that time when I don’t have a lighter, matches, or flint, but I happen to have a fully charged double A battery, dry gum wrappers, scissors and kindling?
