Asteroid will Fly By Earth at 0.3 Times the Distance to the Moon
The newly discovered asteroid 2016 WW2 was first observed by Mt. Lemmon Survey on 2016-11-24.
It will fly by Earth harmlessly on 2016-11-25 at 0.3 times the distance to the Moon, at a speed (relative to the Earth) of 10.0 km/s. It is estimated to be 3 – 9 meters in size.
