NASA’s Satellite Captured a ‘Spooky’ Appearance of the Moon Passing by the Sun on Halloween. The imagery was captured by Nasa’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO).
On October 30, 2016, SDO experienced a Lunar Transit between 1956 and 2056 UTC (356 and 456 pm ET). The Moon covered about 59% of the Sun at the peak of this transit.
