Theology and Politics from a Conservative, Biblical Perspective

If you aren’t reading through the Bible on a daily basis, you should. This is a great way to keep focused on His Word every day. The truth discovered (or relearned), is extremely valuable. If you have not started a daily read-through of God’s Word, please consider it. Phone apps like Mantis allow people to have the Bible on their phones. Other apps like Through the Bible Reading Plan offers multiple ways to read the Bible and it works with Mantis (as well as other Bible apps. At any rate, please consider reading God’s Word daily. Christians need to be in His Word as a means to understanding how God has worked and will work. It keeps us in touch with our Savior and Creator. It opens the door to our submission to Him as God and Lord and allows Him to work in and through us by the truth of His Word. Please don’t allow another day to go by without getting into His Word.

What is interesting on a number of fronts is the growth of Antisemitism throughout the world. We see it from Islam (including ISIS), and other terrorist groups and networks. We also see it from the fascist left throughout America and the world. Some of what we are seeing is what might be considered “soft” propaganda by organizations like the New York Times, which recently ran an article called, I Am a Member of the Muslim Brotherhood, Not a TerroristHowever, back in 2013, Egypt’s interim government labeled Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization. Those on the left want to be careful about naming the Brotherhood as terrorist, yet the evidence appears to be overwhelming. In fact, well over 70% of all terrorist attacks outside the USA have been committed by Muslims. At times, it is difficult to measure because of incomplete reporting by the media.

Often, “lone” attackers are not seen as being connected with any known terrorist organization so under President Obama, these attacks (even those outside the USA) were not labeled as actual terrorist attacks. The reality is that quite often, Muslims (made up of another ethnicity besides Arab since anyone of any race or gender can be Muslim), are the perpetrators of such crimes. We know that Sweden has experienced a tremendous uptick (roughly 1200 to 1500% increase), in rape by “refugee” men from Islamic nations or nations where Islam is part of that culture, whether or not the country itself has an Islamic government. These evil acts are part of the mentality of Muslims who take the Qur’an literally. They believe that women who do not cover their heads (or faces in some cases), are on the level of the whore or prostitute. Because of this thinking, it is perfectly legitimate for them to overpower and rape these women. That is what they believe under the terms of Sharia law and it is often how they live, especially when they get to a point where their numbers outnumber the other people of a certain area. Even though it is denied by some in Sweden, there are many “no-go” zones, controlled by Muslims and Sharia law. Images and videos of protests and carnage in Sweden are easily found on the ‘Net.

Congressional Representative Keith Ellison, who happens to be Muslim, objects when people tend to blame Islam for the many terrorist acts that occur throughout the world. Anyone who has taken the time to actually and personally study Islam itself understands that it is an ideology that literally hates anyone who is not Muslim. The word often used to describe people outside Islam is “infidel” and Muhammad taught that infidels should be hunted down and put to death.

Ellison – as shown in the image – is simply trying to redirect here by placing blame on Trump, implying that Trump is anti-Semitic. Yet, this is the first president in a very long time who has welcomed PM Netanyahu from Israel with open arms. President Trump wants America to be a country that supports Israel as we’ve done for many years. The real problem here is that as a Muslim, Ellison is doing his best to obfuscate. Notice also in the comments below, I placed a comment and directly under mine is a comment from a “Leslie Marshall,” who happens to be associated with FOX News. She is a devout leftist and maybe she’ll follow Shepherd Smith out the door to CNN. One can only hope.

The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called ‘hypocrites’ and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter.

The Qur’an itself reads very much like Proverbs. There is very little context. While Islamic apologists try to tell us that the Qur’an does not teach Muslims to kill “infidels,” but simply idolaters, the reality is that the 109 verses in the Qur’an are, for the most part, open-ended. This means “that [the verses] are not restrained by historical context contained in the surrounding text (although many Muslims choose to think of them that way). They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subject to interpretation as anything else in the Quran.”

At the same time, no one has the right to kill even idolaters today. It doesn’t happen within Christianity or Judaism. It shouldn’t happen anywhere. Muslims have no right to kill anyone who they believe does not follow the teachings of Islam. The original laws given to Israel were for that nation only. As a Christian, the ceremonial and other laws (aside from God’s moral laws), do not apply. However, I must endeavor to keep God’s moral laws. I must strive in God’s strength to live as Jesus lived. That does not include harming others who do not live as I believe they should live. My focus needs to be on how I’m living. Am I pleasing God? Am I avoiding sin at all costs? Am I constantly submitting myself to Him so that He can work in and through me?

Fired for her tweet.

In Texas recently, a Muslim preschool teacher tweeted out to a friend that the friend should “kill some Jews” for her since the friend was going overseas on a trip. Under Obama, it is very possible that nothing would have happened to the woman. Under Trump, something did. The woman was suspended for her tweet. She certainly has a right to say whatever she wants to say, but there are repercussions as well. According to the article, Salem “was among 24 anti-Israel activists at the University of Texas, Arlington (UTA), exposed by covert campus watchdog group Canary Mission for expressing racist and violent thoughts online.

The sad truth is that as Islamists gain power through numbers, their hatred and intolerance of those outside Islam comes to the fore. They become much more brazen and unfortunately, so-called moderate Muslims are too often unwilling to stand in the gap against the tyranny of radical Islamists.

I cannot encourage people to study the Qur’an themselves, personally. Read it. Don’t burn the book. Read it, then read the Hadith, as much as you can find. Study the history of Muhammad. What type of person was he? We know he carried a sword, yet Islamic apologists tell us it was only for defense. Did Jesus carry any weapon at all? No. He preached and lived a life of peace and desperately tried to help people understand their need for salvation and to submit to God. Muhammad became a thief and robber during the last 20 years of his life. He is said to have slaughtered at least one village of Jews in AD 627. Of course, Islamist apologists state that what Muhammad did then was defensive and that he did not come against Jews, but defended himself. It’s always interesting when people attempt to rewrite history.

Antisemitism is on the rise and a good bit of it is due to the hatred ensconced within the ranks of Islam as well as the intolerance of the fascist left. We will continue to see more Antisemitism rise as time goes on. While that is terrible, God will apparently use it to His advantage. There are numerous portions of Scripture which speak to this problem or at least imply it happening during the “latter days.” Deuteronomy 4:30-31 is just one example.

30 When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;

31 (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them. (KJV)

In the above text, Moses is speaking. He was recounting the history of the nation of Israel up to that point and reminding the Israelites of God’s work to create that nation and His plans to protect them (the Remnant) and bring them to the point where He wants them at the end of this current age.

Notice in verse 30, Moses states that when the nation will be “in tribulation” during “the latter days.” Whether Moses completely understood it or not, he was referring to what I believe is our time now. We are in the latter days (last days or end times) prior to the final seven years that is called the Tribulation. This final seven years will unleash the denizens of hell as God directs the outpouring of His wrath onto a world and people who have desired to throw off the chains of His rule (Psalm 2). The coming seven-year period ends with the physical return of Jesus.

It seems clear enough that God is using the Antisemitism that exists and is growing today to call Jews out from the nations in which they live, back to Israel. It will be from there that God will choose and gather His final remnant that will live through and survive the final seven-years of human-led history in the form of the Revised Roman Empire, headed by Antichrist.

As far back as December of 2015, Jewish people living in Malmo, Sweden have faced constant terror. Death chants and hate crimes became normal for Jews living there. On at least one occasion, “Palestinian” protesters took to the streets to call for more death and violence against Jews.

Death to the Jews,’ and ‘More stabbings,’ the protesters screamed, ‘recalls Jehoshua Kaufman, head of communications for Malmö’s Jewish community. The protesters at the October pro-Palestinian rally were referring to the near-daily stabbings of Jews by Arab assailants over the past couple of months in Israel.

This is unconscionable in a world that is supposed to be civilized. But we are seeing a growing fanaticism made up of people on the left (including many Muslims and fascist leftists; strange bedfellows), that desires to eradicate Jews from the face of the earth. This movement was created and empowered by none other than Satan himself, who despises Jews and Israel because of the salvation offered to humanity by Jesus Himself, though God, took on the physical persona of humanity in Jewish form. The entire redemption plan galls Satan to the very core of his being. Though he can do nothing to undo that salvation, he still harbors abject hatred for Jews (and Christians). Islam is dead set against Jews and Israel (as well as Christians). That fact alone should tell intelligent people that Islamic ideology came from the pit of hell.

God is using the growing Antisemitism to bring more Jews back to Israel. It happened during WWI and WWII, ultimately creating again the nation of Israel, from the ashes. The Hebrew language, long thought to also be dead, was resurrected then as well. Are we seeing the fulfillment of Ezekiel 37:1-14 (Valley of Dry Bones)? I believe we are absolutely seeing the fulfillment of that prophecy given to Ezekiel, the prophet.

Islam is literally a death cult. It is so backwards that is opposed to any form of civilized society because it is stuck in the AD 600s, creating by a man who was a thief and murderer, not to mention a pedophile.

Within Islam, old men can “marry” very young girls. Raping and pillaging done against “infidels” is fine within Islam. Killing Jews and Christians is also acceptable. Do not listen to the Islamic apologists who attempt to tell you differently. I’ve gotten in conversations with a few of them and they very quickly back down as soon as they realize I know what I’m talking about and can refer them to Scripture and even talk with them about the Qur’an or Hadith.

These people expect the average person to be in the dark regarding Islam. Like anything else, what you don’t know can in fact, harm you. Read God’s Word. Study the Qur’an or at least learn about Islam so that you are better equipped to witness to those within that ideological system. I’m not saying we are to “hate” people who disagree with us if they are on the left or within Islam. But it is your obligation as a Christian to understand what you are up against. Knowing this will simply put you in the position of being wise as serpents and gentle as doves (cf. Matthew 10:16).

In some sense, the mission field is coming to America in the form of hundreds of thousands Muslim refugees. While we certainly need to be on our guard and not allow that guard to fail us, we also need to remember that we are ambassadors for Jesus, bringing the light of His gospel to those who live in darkness.
