(Before It's News)

1888PressRelease – I have learned that for every rejection, every failure, and every journey, I was always being redirected to something better.

Every journey tells a story and every story has a meaning.

Journeys, by John Malek, is a brutally honest, yet inspirational, account of one man’s ability to overcome adversity, dysfunction, abuse, and addiction by clinging to the hope that one day his life would be better.

From the Author: “At some point in all of our lives, we will be faced with various controversies. They can occur with or without warning, but they will occur. During our journeys some difficulties can be resolved with relative ease, while others continually seek to besiege us. There was no joy in being bullied. There was no joy in being the object of predators. There was no joy being an adult instead of a child. Though we are all headed in the same direction how we get there is ultimately more important.

I survived. I have stared death in the face and refused to relinquish my identity.”

John Malek grew up in upstate New York, dealing with constant betrayal, rejection, and a family tormented by psychological demons. Hope was the fuel that sustained him. Believing that one day hope would prevail and that indeed his life had meaning, he would ultimately be free from the bondage of torment.

“What I finally realized is that I wasn’t different than anyone else. Reflecting on the past, having no regrets, and learning that being true to self was more important than what others thought of me,” says Malek.

Journeys is not just John Malek’s story. This is a story for every person that has suffered with the uncertainty of whether or not their lives matter. One can’t be rejected without first being accepted. Hope is a choice. To surrender to the negativity is also a choice. By choosing hope, the child once considered ignorant and insignificant eventually found love, compassion, and his destiny.
