Creator of Eq8tor App for Global E-Commerce Launches Kickstarter Campaign
John O’Brien, the creator of the eq8tor app for global e-commerce based on B2C/B2B buyer focus, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for development of an ecommerce site. This app-based global ecommerce site will enable buyers in emerging global markets to buy products securely with no risks to etailers.
According to the creator, “We have developed an app-based global ecommerce site which is unique in that it combines many aspects of the purchasing and marketing of products with an easy ‘buy now’ button. This is particularly useful in the emerging markets where the consumers or buyers are not able to buy products readily on etailers sites due to restrictions and or delivery component of the transactions.” The site overcomes this issue by using drop-ship technology and logistics, including customs handling, that offers an excellent customer service experience as well as sponsored marketing initiatives. Payment for services occurs up front when the transaction is finalized, so the risk of fraud during payment processing is minimized.
The program can be adapted for both B2B and B2C to offer a wide range of options. The creator previously developed and implemented a global shipping program for eBay as well as Vector TV, and is now bringing his experience to this platform. The program prototype has been developed, and the beta tests have been performed. Several etailers are currently considering the program as well as various global partners.
Funds raised by the Kickstarter campaign will be used to continue IT development as well as the functional processes of implementation with partners around the world.
