Dennis Quaid Files for Divorce after Wife Opted for Legal Separation
If any marriage does not run smoothly due to some temporary or minor issues between the spouses, then the couple generally opt for a legal separation in order to get some space from the disturbing phase of their marital relationship. However, legal separation may end up with a divorce if there is almost a nil possibility to save the relationship and the couple just cannot make adjustments for a reconciliation. It is indeed a tough decision to make, but at times there is no other option left with the people. Similarly, actor Dennis Quaid made the same decision i of getting a divorce from his third wife instead of opting for a legal separation much against the wishes of his wife.
The fifty eight years old actor is not facing such a situation for the first time. This is the third time when he is opting for a divorce; this time against his forty one year old wife, Kimberly Buffington, who is also a well known actress in the industry. It is said that the actress had initially filed for a divorce case but the case was put on hold as she decided to give another try to sort the issues with her husband. Unfortunately, nothing such happened so Buffington opted for a legal separation in order to begin the legal proceedings of divorce thereafter. Irreconcilable differences is the major ground for divorce in this case. At the same time, the actor Quaid is ready to provide spousal support on the condition to receive joint legal and physical custody of their five-year-old twin children. Quaid has also requested that both the parties should be responsible to bear their own legal charges involving the legal proceedings related to the divorce.
Records highlight that the actor has been linked with several beautiful ladies apart from his three wives. However, he is very loving towards his twin children, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace. Therefore, he is looking for joint child custody (read here). During the initial stages of their marriage, this celebrity couple surely worked on their marital differences, but nothing worked in their favor. As a result, they have finally opted to end their marriage on a better note.
