Jamal Starts His Own Empire

In case you haven’t heard, congratulations are in order for Empire’s Jamal a.k.a. Jussie Smollett. He just signed a deal with Columbia Records. It seems like the perfect set up, considering Empire is trending to be the biggest music related TV show since Glee….maybe even bigger. The show already has an all-star cast with Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard and Gabby Sidibe. Not to mention all of the high profile guest stars on the show, including Mary J. Blige, Naomi Campbell, Derek Luke, Raven Simone and Courtney Love. But now Jussie can add another line to his resume as Columbia Records’ newest artist. He already comes from a talented family and now he gets to be label mates with Beyonce and Barbara Streisand. In fact, Beyonce is rumored to appear on a future episode of Empire.
