Editor’s note: The Epoch Times publishes here direct translations of statements made by Chinese people who renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its subordinate organizations. Statements such as these are submitted to a website affiliate of the Chinese version of The Epoch Times, Dajiyuan. The movement to renounce, withdraw from, or quit the CCP, called “Tuidang” in Chinese, began in late 2004, soon after The Epoch Times published the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” an editorial series that explores the nature and history of the CCP. The statements offer a rare and candid glimpse of history in the making. Chinese people are turning their backs on the Communist Party, choosing conscience over convenience, and peacefully ushering in a future China, free of Party rule.
The following is a selection of edited “Tuidang” (quitting the Party) statements made by Chinese nationals on July 22–25.
We Quit the Chinese Communist Party and Its Affiliates
I am a teacher. I’ve taught for the past dozens of years. I know from the bottom of my heart that everything the CCP does is to sabotage our outstanding Chinese tradition and to bring down people’s moral levels. The CCP is the enemy of the divine and mankind, and its only destiny is elimination. Every member of my family now declares that we quit the Chinese Communist Youth League and Young Pioneers.

Declaration to Quit the CCP
I do not agree with the CCP’s ideology and deeds. The regime needs to pay for the crimes it committed! An organization that is founded on lies and violence does not have a future. Our fear of the CCP gives us Chinese the Stockholm Syndrome. A lot of people are intimidated by the CCP’s enormous evil. Many became its accomplice to pursue their own personal interests. Upon my honor and from the bottom of my heart I vow that I now leave the CCP. In doing so, I am being responsible to my conscience. God is watching my thoughts and actions. May God safeguard me and stay with me!

In just this past year, I have seen the CCP commit numerous crimes. I realized that I have been misled by the CCP’s evil system over the past 20 years. As a result, I lost my dignity and unknowingly assisted the CCP in doing its evil. Today is the CCP’s birthday. On this special day, I solemnly declare that I quit the Communist Youth League and all the CCP’s affiliates. (Note: the CCP’s first National Congress was held in Shanghai on July 23, 1921. Congress passed the CCP’s first program.)
