When 38-year-old Shen Jianzhong was faced with a mob of thugs trying to evict him, he asked himself what his hero, Bruce Lee, would do.
The answer, according to a video that has attracted more than two million hits on the Chinese internet, is turn to kung fu.
For 20 years, Mr Shen had been practising kung fu, teaching himself Bruce Lee’s system in his courtyard home in Bazhou, Hebei province.
Working in a local gym as a fitness coach, he is also the holder of a world record, at least according to an association in Hong Kong, for the most press-ups in a minute using a roller. “I am now training to break the record for most press-ups on a balance beam,” he said.
I cannot convey to you as a mere mortalman how awesome this is. This guy looks the part don’t he? Sheer badassery at its finest right here. I thought this only happened in movies. Thanks for proving me wrong Mr. Jianzhong and good luck!
They do look like they could have been a fight there is some blood, it could be staged scene but I doubt it. They only had time to record after the craziness passed.
If my man was in a fight with that many I would be helping or screaming, not sure but not until it was over would I dare to record it.
First of all Bruce Lee’s style was Jeet Kune Do not Kung Fu although he did study it. Secondly where were the 50 people? Thirdly where was the fighting? I didn’t see him fighting anyone. This video could have been staged. Those people weren’t moving the whole time, looks suspicious to me. Fourth, what was up with that guy hacking and spitting? If some of those people had cell phones then why didn’t anyone film him beating up the people?
What REALLY happened was this man was a chef and someone insulted his cooking by asking if the Kung Pow Chicken was made from cat. What followed was a bunch of lactose intolerant Asian men being fooled into consuming dairy products and then locked in a nearly airtight room for 45 minutes. The toxic gasses caused many to lose consciousness and the rest were in so much pain from the cramping that they could not move. He admitted to all of this and refused to apologize for his actions stating that if he had made it from cat it would have been listed as Kung Pow Cat, not Kung Pow Chicken.
The one thing I DIDN’T see in either video…
Kung Fu Expert In China Beats Up Mob Of 50 Trying To Evict Him
your right on there Skare, looks like some bad food poisoning to me

Wish I could understand them
The area is so destroyed but everyone has a cell phone. Weird priorities.
LOL – Not unlike South Africa where they live in shacks but have cable TV…and cell phones with internet access..
story first was beat up 30 Now its 50 tomorrow it will be 70
Everybody was kunfu fighting.
Those cats were fast as lightning.

You can hear one of them gaging, and look at the pool of blood under the elbow of the one on the floor.
