Another storage tank on fire at Fujian chemical plant, more than 40 hours after blasts occurred there.

One reported dead after pollution protest in northern China. One person died and 50 were arrested after some 2,000 police, using rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannons, put down a protest by villagers against pollution from a chemical plant in  Inner Mongolia.

Chinese citizens sue government over transparency on Monsanto herbicide. Three Chinese citizens are taking China’s Ministry of Agriculture to court in a bid to make public a toxicology report supporting the approval of Monsanto’s popular weedkiller, Roundup, 27 years ago.
