Why Is the Organ Transplant Wait Time So Short in China?

(Before It's News)

In the United States, patients normally have to wait years for a liver or kidney transplant. In China, the waiting period is less than a month, according to stoporganharvesting.org.

The reason? In China, they don’t wait around for an organ donor to die.

Evidence of live organ harvesting in China began to emerge in 2006, and investigations have since uncovered the chilling truth: Chinese prisoners of conscience, mainly practitioners of the Falun Gong spiritual discipline, are being held as a living organ bank and killed on demand when someone needs an organ.

China has almost no volunteer organ donors, yet over 10,000 transplants are performed there every year, according to stoporganharvesting.org.

Chinese communist authorities have had a hard time explaining where all the organs are coming from. They have admitted to using organs from death-row criminals, but this is not enough to account for all the transplants.

The number of transplants in China is known to have skyrocketed after the Chinese Communist Party began persecuting Falun Gong.

Falun Gong became enormously popular in the 1990s, with its easy-to-learn exercises and its universal principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. The Party started persecuting it in 1999, following the communist tradition of maintaining power by launching persecutions against different groups to maintain a climate of fear.

Other groups, such as house Christians and Tibetans, are also being subjected to persecution and organ harvesting.

Chinese officials have tried unsuccessfully to prevent the news of organ harvesting from leaking out to the international community. Now the governments of various countries and petitioners all over the world are speaking up, demanding an immediate end to this human rights atrocity.

One petition to the United Nations from Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) was signed by nearly 1.5 million people in 2013, according to DAFOH’s website.

This year’s DAFOH petition can be found and signed at their website: http://www.dafoh.org/petition-to-the-united-nations/

Chris Chappell did a recent episode on organ harvesting on his YouTube channel, China Uncensored. Be sure to check it out, and some of his other episodes, too. His popular videos—almost 18 million views since 2012—are a real treat to watch.
