Light is About Life
Jesus and the Gospel writers refer to a light that in us a number of times in the New Testament. I believe each person is born with a Light inside of him or her that is lit until a person purposely takes a Human Life. In Matthew 25:1-13 the parable of the Ten Virgins illustrates this point perfectly. Once one’s Light goes out inside of him or her, it cannot be lit ever again. Some people possess brighter Lights than others, but this is because of the nature of the person. I think it’s about belief. Many believe that God WILL forgive the sin of purposely taking Human Life, including suicide, and that therefore, they live according to this belief. Satan has many ways to extinguish the flame that is in every person mostly with anger, fear, and hatred. The taking of a person’s own life is due to sadness or depression or a combination of these emotions causing one to turn on oneself. Guilt is a big part of it as well. We are NOT to do anything we can’t live with doing and regardless of where we are in life, we do NOT have the right from God to take our own lives. So, Satan will do what he has to do to extinguish the Light within us. When the Light inside of us burns bright, it can’t be hid. People will notice it. And those whose Lights burn brightest will do what they have to do to protect that Light. They will seek oxygen to feed that Light. This is prayer and meditation as well as associating with people who are like them. And there will be those who will seek to make their Light less bright. Satan will seek to extinguish their Lights. These people with the brightest of Lights will do ALL they can do to protect their Light. Those whose Light is extinguished will seek to extinguish the Light in others. They will drain the oxygen that feeds the Lights of others. This IS what Satan WANTS. He will do ANYTHING he can to extinguish the Light in those whose Light burns brightest.
