Why Then is Something so Incredibly Simple Made So Complex?

Dennis:

Ever been to an office of a lawyer?  The Law is NOT simple.  It is so incredibly complex that not even lawyers understand it.  For the Apostle Paul, et al, the Old Testament Law was or is over 600 statements of HOW to carry out the Law.  The Apostle Paul was asked if a Believer could even eat meat sacrificed to idols.  The Bible doesn’t mention this, but in regard to animal sacrifices, it’s very likely that humans were sacrificed too and that human blood might have been mingled in the meat of animals.  Would this then make a Believer an accessory of some kind to murder?  No, this is just an assumption on my part, because we really don’t know why the Apostle Paul was asked this question, but I think given what I know from my Angels that I am correct in saying that more likely than not, the new Christians did NOT want to be accessories to murder.  But the simplicity of the Grace of God begs the question as to why in the world the Apostle Paul or any of the Early Church writers do NOT address this issue.  I don’t know.  My guess is that the Law became so complex and intermingled with Roman Laws that there just wasn’t any way for people to fully understand the meaning of Grace without having it be explained in the context of Law or of Laws.  And I still believe there WAS an element of danger in talking about it.  In other words, all the New Testament writers were writing in some kind of “code” that Believers would understand, but would also help them in talking about it with the unsaved.  I don’t know why something so incredibly simple became so incredibly complex to the point where very few would understand.  I don’t live under that same kind of fear.  So, I AM able to talk about it.

Our society and the world we live in like simplicity.  And in fact, the Message is so incredibly simple that a four-year old can understand it.  Simply put:  do no harm.  It’s THAT simple.  But the Apostle Paul, et al, is simply explaining WHY the Message is so incredibly simple.  I have done the exact same thing with you.  I have spent YEARS on the Message.  And it all comes down to one thing:  Do no harm.  Period.  It’s that simple.  Why?  It’s a matter of Grace OVER Law.  The Law demands Human Life for certain sins, and Grace excuses those same sins.  But it takes not only a belief in God to accept this, but to understand why Jesus said and did the things He said and did.  The Apostle Paul was perfect for this, because he and the others not only had to explain away the use of the Old Testament Law, but explain why a belief in God and accepting Jesus was so important.  Simply put, the New Testament writers WANTED to abolish ALL killing.  They did it their way and I as Brother Ralphie am doing it my way.  And the difference is simplicity.  The Apostle Paul wrote to lawyers and philosophers.  I write to EVERYONE.  It’s complex for a complex mind, but simple for simple minds.  We live in an era of sound bites.  People do NOT have time to think about complex issues.  They want others to think for them.  Our world looks for simplicity in ALL things.   We only grasp the obvious not being willing to work to understand.  Our world today is VERY different from the world of the New Testament Church.  So, I have a simple Message for simple minds.  And I think that is the reason.  Peace,
