THE AUDIENCE IN WORSHIP: (Revelation 4 and 5)

“There before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. Before the throne seven lamps were blazing. These are the sevenfold Spirit of God…. Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders.” (Revelation 4:2,5; 5:6)

In April 1999 I took my staff team to a church growth conference put on by Walt Kallestad and his leadership at Community Church of Joy, Glendale, Arizona. It was a very productive conference on creating a vision for growth and putting it into action. The other day when I was preparing a message on leadership I pulled off my shelf Walt’s Guide to Leadership and reviewed it. I decided to go online and find out what had happened to Walt and his church since my visit fifteen years ago. I came across a reference to a Leadership Journal article in the Fall of 2008 where Walt confesses his failures with his 12,000 member church.< ![CDATA[
