I would love to dramatize the Second Coming as some kind of alien invasion like that of the movie “Independence Day,” but the fact is that it will be nothing like that.  It’s possible it might be like SOME kind of invasion, since the Messiah and the heavenly hosts will do battle with those who are members of Satan’s army, but the fact is that I am not sure what to expect.  The Book of Revelations says that the Messiah will descend from heaven riding a white horse, but that I am not sure this isn’t the White Horse from the Four Horses of the Apocalypse.  In fact, like those who have imaginations and write books about such things, the fact is that the Second Coming, just might be fairly uneventful.  It’s possible that there won’t be much of a battle at all and that in fact, what will happen is that those who are members of Satan’s army might just fall over dead when the Messiah comes.

We might think that the Messiah will come wielding a big sword and He will cut off the heads of those who belong to Satan’s army.  But the fact is that I don’t know what to expect when the Messiah comes.  I don’t know HOW the Messiah and the heavenly hosts will defeat Satan and his army.  I just know that it won’t be anything like that we see in the movies.  And in the movies and all kinds of scenarios I have seen about alien invasions and how the human race will defeat such aliens, the fact is that when the Messiah comes, there won’t be much of a battle.  I believe it will all be over fairly quickly.  I don’t think there will be much of a battle at all.  The Messiah will come with WORDS and can speak His will and win the battle.

Maybe it’s possible that those who are military-minded will try to figure out a way to fight against the Messiah and the heavenly hosts, but the fact is that there is no scenario that can be written for those who have purposely taken Human Life to prevent the Messiah and the heavenly hosts from winning the battle.  It’s even possible that the dead in Christ will become like zombies and they will rise first.  It’s possible this army of zombies will turn against those who are guilty of having taken Human Life.  Can you imagine such a battle as this?  And what will those who have taken Human Life do to prevent the Messiah and the heavenly hosts from winning such a battle?  I don’t know.  I can’t imagine a scenario whereby the Heavenly hosts will do battle with Satan and his followers will lose the battle. 

I don’t know if the Messiah will employ zombies to defeat the armies of Satan.  My guess is that the army of Satan will be comprised of about some 200 to 500 million people who are guilty of having purposely taken Human Life.  So, I wonder how many zombies, angels, and heavenly hosts of ALL kinds it will take to defeat this army.  I don’t know.  And I don’t know if the Messiah would even employ zombies.  But this scenario isn’t any different from what others have imagined will take place when the rapture occurs.  I am saying and have been saying there will be no rapture.  All biblical prophecy has now been fulfilled EXCEPT for the coming of the Messiah. 

So, then how can Satan defeat the heavenly hosts when the Messiah comes?  He can’t and he won’t.  There is no scenario I can write that would give victory to Satan and his army.  It won’t happen.  But then I don’t know HOW the Messiah will fight this battle either.  He might employ zombies.  And it might be possible that those innocent of Human Blood WILL be part of the heavenly hosts too.  The fact is that armies can prepare themselves for such an invasion and develop EVERY scenario by which they will win.  I am saying the ONLY losers when the Messiah comes will be those who have purposely taken Human Life.  Right now, they are the only ones who have anything to worry about.  The rest of us can welcome the Messiah with open arms and simply watch the battle unfold.  My thinking is it won’t take Him very long to win the battle.  Peace.  Brother Ralphie for The Angels of Life Institute
