Religious freedoms my a$$. Christians against abortion is just sour grapes seeing as performing abortions was prohibited by anyone not medically trained, which prevented Christian priests from performing them.
The test for an unfaithful wife.
Numbers 5:11-29
“21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse[b] among your people when he MAKES YOUR WOMB MISCARRY and your abdomen swell. 22 May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or YOUR WOMB MISCARRIES.”
“When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell AND HER WOMB WILL MISCARRY, and she will become a curse. “
Note the poor unfortunate women has no religious freedom of choice, she is “…MADE TO DRINK THE WATER…” This article is typical of Christians and their disgusting political spin, making out how pure and innocent they are, when their religion was state enforced up util a couple hundred years ago, and it’s priests and followers are mass murderers.
You have radically changed the meaning of those verses. Your interpretation is wrong. You are suggesting that these verses mean that ancient Semites gave women an abortion causing substance. The verses are unambiguous. The priest used normal water and added a pinch of dust off the floor. If she had a miscarriage, it was a sign that she had committed adultery. Setting aside how absurd that ancient practice sounds to us in modern times, the fact remains that at no point in history has dust mixed in water caused a miscarriage. The water was literally WATER. Not some abortion-causing concoction as you are suggesting. You are twisting the story to suit your own perspective.
NO….
YOU
are twisting the words, to “make them harmless” TO YOUR FABLE,
christo-freak
!

You mean your modern translation of a translation of a translation, has translated it to be more palatable and hide it’s barbarianism.
