When the Spirit of Truth dwells in us, we can then begin to understand the Gospel message, and the peace of God which passeth all understanding.
So then for the Christian Assurance of Salvation is not that we are presently saved. It is however a genuine knowledge, that if we endure until the end we shall be saved (Mathew 10:2).
Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
According to Salvation Scripture – Faith is an Important Part of the Christian Assurance of Salvation
Even true Faith, which is a Christian concept, is a gift from God. Faith is an important part of our Christian Assurance of Salvation.
◾Jesus is the author of our Faith (Heb 12:2; 1 Cor 1:9; 2 Thes 3:3).
◾The unrighteous and wicked are not in the Faith (2 Thes 3:2).
◾Faith protects our Hearts, and is a defensive weapon (1 Thes 5:8).
◾The love of money will lead you away from the Faith (1 Tim 6:10).
◾Ungodly men who oppose the knowledge of God, and have only the wisdom of this world cause many to never acquire Faith (1 Tim 6:20-21).
◾Faith is also an offensive weapon through which we witness to the world (1 Tim 6:12).
◾A common Faith is shared by all who are the descendants of Abraham, united through the same Spirit of Christ, (Gal 3:3-9).
◾Truly hearing the Living Word of God without distractions allows Faith to blossom (Romans 10:17).
◾False teachers and their vain babblings destroy the Faith of many, as they falsely teach that the assurance of Salvation is realized through works. To claim that Salvation occurs in the present tense, removes faith and hope from occurring. How can you hope for something you already believe to possess (2 Tim 2:14-18).
1 Thess 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
◾Faith provides us with the certainty of Christ’s promises to us (Heb 10:22; Col 2:2; 1 Thes 1:5; Heb 6:11).
◾Without Faith we can not please God (Heb 11:6).
◾You will know that your Faith is true and pure when good works naturally come from it (James 2:14-26).
◾True Faith endures through trials and tribulations (1 Peter 1:7).
◾The end of our Faith is the assurance of Salvation of our soul (1 Peter 1:9).
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Many claim to have faith, but the truth of the matter is that only Christians really can claim true Faith, as it is only through Christ that this precious gift is given, whereby one can be certain of their purpose and destiny, and have the full Christian Assurance of Salvation. It is only through Christ that we can have the true Spirit of Faith (2 Cor 4:13). All others have a worldly faith that can easily be shattered, that is based upon illusions and deceit. Hearing the Word of God and realizing that it is a very powerful living testimony of Christ unto the Assurance of Salvation, starts a transformation process. As we joyfully and diligently labor in the scriptures they enter our mind and heart. Soon our study and prayer time becomes a labor of love, as great joy and wonder overwhelm our senses.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
As we start to trust and believe the truth in the Word of salvation scripture our faith gets stronger and submitting to Jesus becomes easier. When we allow Him to become the Lord and focus of our lives a dynamic, intimate and lasting relationship that cannot easily be severed blossoms. Jesus is the hope and our Redeemer, and through His Spirit our hope becomes our Christian Assurance of Salvation. Once we are sealed, we realize that nothing can separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus; this Baptism of the Holy Spirit wherein Jesus resides in us, is when we are born again. The infilling of the believer with the Spirit of God is the down payment (or earnest) that Christ gives to His chosen, that He has purchased with His blood upon the cross.
2 Cor 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
The completion of His contract with us is to be fully realized and received at His second coming. This is when the Assurance of Salvation is revealed, and implemented.
Luke 21:27-28 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Therefore the evidence that the Spirit resides within us is that we are no longer self centered, self righteous, or fearful. Deception and confusion regarding the Assurance of Salvation, and what transpires when we are Born Again, become a thing of the past.
Love, through bearing others burdens, and making a difference in the lives of those around us brings great joy, and becomes a labor of Love. Materialistic items such as fancy cars or houses, no longer have any hold on us, as the only treasure we seek is everlasting Life in Christ. The love of this present evil world, is replaced with a longing to be with Jesus, wherein we will put aside our sinful flesh and be clothed with righteousness (Isa 61:10; 1 Cor 15:53). This all happens naturally when you grow in the Spirit, the more you press into the spirit the more you will receive to give out.
