(Before It's News)

Our Base Nation. Although few know it, the United States garrisons the planet unlike any country in history, and the evidence is on view from Honduras to Oman, Japan to Germany, Singapore to Djibouti. On the other hand, the idea that there would be foreign bases on U.S. soil is unthinkable.

How To Begin Dismantling Fascism In America. When one is confronted with the task of dismantling this behemoth, one wonders where to begin. I would suggest we begin by uniting in an effort to dismantle the overseas military bases.

Transphobia at the Intersection of the Military and Prison Industrial Complexes. As a trans woman in a military prison, Chelsea Manning lives at the intersection of the military and prison industrial complexes. To begin rolling back these systems, which impose strict gender norms and criminalize those labeled as threats to national security, we must identify what they are and who benefits from them.
