(Before It's News)

Isaiah 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Many claim to know God, but as a result of the false teachers they surround themselves with, they are generally unwilling or unable in most cases to think for themselves. They would rather listen to men that claim a god given right to have authority over them and the gospel.

2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables

That time is now! Sound doctrine is almost impossible to procure in these last days; however the fables are indeed plentiful.

Mark 7:6-7 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Col 2:8-9 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Although we have said this a hundred times, the only way to have a true and meaningful relationship with Christ is to allow His Holy Spirit into your temple.

You are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God desires to dwell in you. Now if any man defiles the temple of God, (by allowing an imposter to dwell therein) that person shall God destroy. The temple of God is holy, let your temple be so also (1 Cor 3:16-17)

John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Jesus who is our Teacher manifest Himself to mankind, but never really left.

John 15:26-27 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:  And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

When we allow Christ Jesus to become the Lord and focus of our lives, a dynamic and lasting relationship that cannot easily be severed blossoms.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

This is in reference to the New Testament Law

Jesus Christ the true Shepherd.

Matt 25:31-34 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:  And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Seventeen times in the New Testament the word shepherd is used (G 4166). This word shepherd is always used in the singular, and is a reference to Christ.

There is only one verse in all of the New Testament where the word shepherd, is translated to pastors (Eph 4:11). The problem with this translation is significant.

This subtle yet deceptive change, wherein the word pastor is inserted in place of shepherd, creates a deadly precedence. This sets up albeit falsely, the justification for a hierarchy, allowing certain men to have authority over others.

Christ is the Good Shepherd; the verse below should make it clear, because there truly is only one shepherd.

For the complete article here is the link One fold and one shepherd

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

But these false teachers in the Church do not want you to know that there is only but one true shepherd.

The one who is hired is not the shepherd, and when these false teachers in the Church see destruction coming, they will flee causing the flock to become scattered.

What a fitting description of the situation today; so many men who claim to pastors or rabbis are not, but are merely the false teachers that lead the people astray.

Christ warned us of these False Teachers, He also warned us of the blindness and apathy that would occur, and intensify towards the end of this age.

Christ is the head of the church and no man can legally take the title of Rabbi (that is to say Master) Father, or Shepherd. Christ is our only master and Shepherd, and we are all brethren.

Matt 23:8-10 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

The word for master and teacher in the above verse is the same Greek word (G 2519). So Jesus is saying, neither be called teacher for one is your teacher, come to me I will not lead you astray.

Neither be ye be called Teachers for one is your Teacher, and He is Jesus Christ!

1 Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned

There is another Greek word translated as Master or teacher (G 1320). It is used 58 times in the New Testament.

Only twice  is it used in reference to teachers in the church, and in both of these instances God sets the teachers, not man (1 Cor 12:28-29).

Two other times are where Paul is appointed a teacher by God, unto the nations (1 Tim 2:7; 2 Tim 1:11).

Once is in reference to false teachers, and is one of the reasons that these articles are necessary.

2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

And the last time this word is used it is translated as masters, and comes with an important warning.

James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters (or teachers), knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. Emphasis added.

If there was to be a hierarchy in the church apart from Christ, He would have mentioned it at least once, but He does not! The reason being, there is only one fold and one shepherd.

As well, anyone claiming to be a teacher ordained of God would have to be Baptized by the Spirit of God. Otherwise what they taught would be simply gibberish.

The fact is that Christ is the head of His Church (Eph 4:4-15). All men are equal, and no man has any spiritual authority over another.

The body of Christ is one, and has many members. However all the members of that body, being many, are one body (1 Cor 12:12; Rom 15:6; 1 Cor 8:5-6; Gal 3:28). Those truly in Christ, with one mind and one Spirit are united together in faith (Phl 1:27).

Matt 20:25-28 Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;  And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:  Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Jesus makes it pretty clear there was to be no hierarchy. We are called to minister and serve each other, not ourselves, or claim authority over others.

Matt 23:6-7 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

Interestingly enough the word Rabbi, also translated as Master also occurs seventeen times in the New Testament (G 4461). This word Rabbi or Master is exclusively used in reference to Christ. The only exception is in the verse above, enough said.

We are not to follow after the traditions of other counterfeit religions. Christ made himself of no reputation, and became a servant to many (Phil 2:7).

How dare we, lift up and exalt mere mortal men, who are but sinners.

Religions are drunk with spiritual idolatry.

Some of these sins of idolatry are:

  • Following false doctrines after the traditions of men.
  • Proclaiming justification through the old law.
  • Seeking the praises of men, instead of the praises of God.
  • Obsessed with reputations, and achievements, this is also vanity.
  • Placing any one or any thing above God, this is pure idolatry.
  • Becoming lovers of this world, instead of lovers of Christ Jesus.
  • Idolizing religious leaders or their writings, and worldly wisdom.
  • Expecting Christ to bless us with the things of this world.
  • Storing up treasures on earth, and becoming lovers of money.
  • Calling men father, rabbi or pastor, this is forbidden.

2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Our teacher ultimately is the Holy Spirit that Christ sent to us. Once we have the infilling of His Spirit we can know the truth that sets us free from the bondage of deceit, false hope and outrageous illusions.

Our greatest desires should be to receive the Comforter that enables us to understand Christ’s testimony of truth, as we seek first the kingdom of God (James 4:3-4; Math 6:33).

John 16:13-14 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Man is not the author of truth nor can he by himself fully understand truth. It is the Holy Spirit that shows us the truth, when we have submitted to the Lord and are in a position to receive it.

If we think we have the truth by or in ourselves, we through pride have already prevented the Spirit from abiding in us. This is exactly what the false teachers in the Church are counting on.

1 Cor 2:13-14 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Unfortunately too many people readily accept any thing that these false teachers have to say. Unless the Holy Spirit has called them to be teachers they should not be in this important position, and the obvious deception that they teach proves they are frauds.

1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Many claim to keep the Ten Commandments, which were part of the old law, but we are no longer under the old law. The false teachers in the Church need to keep people under the bondage of Old Testament, in part to keep the tithes coming in.

To claim to be justified by the old law is actually a separation from Christ, as you are fallen from grace and not led by the spirit of truth (Gal 5:4; Gal 5:18).

You will never hear this truth presented by the false teachers in the Church.

Rom 4:14 For if they which are of the law [be] heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect.

Many false teachers in the Church proclaim that we are still under the Old Testament law, and falsely teach that Salvation is accomplished through a formula of words to be recited.

There is no profit in this pretend game of playing church that so many succumb to.

There is however great profit for the false teachers in the Church, who have convinced their congregation that the reality of Godliness that they present is the truth. The true joy, wisdom and power that comes from a Spirit filled relationship with Jesus is never realized by those who are kept from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

False Teachers In The Church Are Leading People Astray

1 Tim 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Most false teachers in the Church would say that the double honor mentioned here is monetary in nature, and payable in part to them. However the true laborer has the reward of living by the very words of the gospel that they preach.

1 Cor 9:13-14 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?  Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

The reward that the false teachers in the Church seek after is a monetary one. Let it be known that they have no problem whatsoever in twisting scriptures to facilitate this plunder. Living according to the gospel is the honor and reward for the spirit filled laborer of Christ.

The meaning for the word honor, that is used in double honor in first Timothy 5:17, in no way refers to money (1 Cor 12: 23; 1 Tim 1:17; 1 Peter 1:7).

Likewise the reward spoken of in first Timothy 5:18, is not one of a monetary nature either.

However the false teachers are business men and money and fame are their desired goals.

Matt 10:7-8 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

We are not to turn the sharing of the gospel message into a business opportunity, and no one should profit from sharing Christ with others.

False teachers in the Church do usually present some truths in their sermons; however the majority of the messages they present will be based upon their own interpretations. Without the Holy Spirit to teach us the truth, we can only use our own wisdom which will only bring about deception.

1 Cor 9:18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

The true man of God filled with the spirit who correctly interprets scripture has certain characteristics that set him apart. He weeps in his Spirit, for the lost and deceived that think they are saved as a result of adhering to false messages of hope from the false teachers in the Church. As well monetary gains are simply not considered, as rewards through and in Christ are the prizes sought after, that will never perish.

1 Peter 5:2-3 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

So often we hear these false teachers in the Church recite extravagant prayers that really impress those around them, because of the elegance and grandeur of the words. The crowd is led to believe that these men are full of the spirit, when in fact they are merely imposters.

Matt 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

There are many manipulative techniques used by false teachers that enable them to be in control; few question their position of power or authority, as they are led to believe that it is God ordained.

False teachers in the Church use suggestive words and emotional conditioning through lighting, soft music and or a teary eyed plea. These are some of the tactics employed to manipulate people to respond in a certain manner.

False teachers in the Church deceive by omission; this is when they leave out some of the truth, to present their truth. This is also known as propaganda.

False teachers in the Church are masters at seduction. They use their voice, stance, confidence and image to grab the attention of a crowd and keep it. With almost a magical charm they can allure or captivate the audience with a hypnotic like manipulation of the truth.

False teachers in the Church make claims that the ministry is in trouble, and without immediate financial contributions many will suffer. People do not like to see or hear of sufferings, and if they are made to feel responsible, it is usually fairly easy to get them to cooperate.

False teachers in the Church like to be seen as having the role of being God’s ordained teachers, or prophets. Once they have obtained this cult like status, people no longer even think for themselves. As well they sometimes violently protect the belief system and the leader(s) that they unwittingly worship.

With the tactics above employed it is easy for false teachers in the Church to masquerade using a disguising pretense, and thus cloak or hide a self-serving agenda, under the pretext of operating as the servant or spokesperson of God.

Eph 1:13-14 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Spiritually speaking, we are to put our trust in no man. Only Christ can be totally trusted, and He alone has the power to redeem us.

These verses in Ephesians are a condensed version of the Christian journey unto salvation. We hear the message of truth revealed to us in the gospel that shows the path unto Salvation. Then once we trust and believe the Word we are sealed by means of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

This infilling of the Spirit is a down payment on the purchased possession wherein Jesus bought us through His shed blood.

The inheritance is when we are redeemed, and join Christ for all of eternity. Many hear of the word by means of a preacher, however to stay under a preacher never graduating so to speak, is not what is expected of us.

Hearing the messenger, if he is truly sent by God, is only the first part in ones walk. The next step is to be taught of the Holy Spirit, and then receive the power to know the truth for yourself and partake in the ministry.

Matt 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

To be effective in the ministry, pride ego and self-centered or self-righteous behaviors should not be at all present. Christ reveals His truth to all that ask in faith and love, but we must be humble and submit to His commandments.

When one truly believes on Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit through a real faith, it is natural to obey and follow the Word and be faithful even unto death. Christ said to take care that you be not deceived by men. Most of the deception is at the hands of the false teachers in the Church (Math 24:4).

Luke 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

We are all to bear the cross with our eyes set on Jesus, thus fulfilling the mission of becoming part of the church. The average person thinks that the Christian experience involves the following:

  • Spending an hour a week at a building that is incorrectly refereed to as a church.

  • Giving money, incorrectly referred to as tithes, to 501c3 corporations posing as the church.

  • Repeating verses that they are led to recite under the illusion that doing so will ensure their immediate salvation.

These actions have nothing to do with bearing the cross of Christ; they prove a complete lack of the Spiritual understanding and depth required to follow Christ.

Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

  • destined2b-least???

I seems you never attempt to refute the scriptures in my comments — you have told me to go away — is that because you can not refute clear doctrine??

    Here is a scripture I have never heard a so called “christian” preacher quote and I understand why — but you are so versed in the Bible I thought you may have stumbled across this one a time or two;

    Matthew 23

1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude,—– and to —-”his” — disciples,

2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat:

3 “All”—— therefore —-whatsoever they bid you observe, [that]—- observe and DO;—- but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

Jesus Christ is clearly teaching HIS DISCIPLES to observe the Torah.

I hope you do not attempt to explain this clear statement of our Savior away by saying after He died on the stake the Law and the Torah were ended —–REALLY???

Christ spent 3 1/2 years teaching doctrine that was to be ended at His death???

Christ came to confirm the Covenant for 7 years and was cut off at the mid point of 3 1/2 years and for 3 1/2 years He taught doctrine that was going to end at His death??????

That is what you destined2bleast teach! If you do not teach the LAW of God you will be the least in the kingdom of GOD so states our Savior.
