(Before It's News)

Thanks to the generosity of Shrine supporters, the tabernacle which was rescued by firefighters from the high altar of the burning church has undergone full restoration.

Despite exterior damage to the tabernacle, as well as some soot on the inside, the Holy Eucharist contained within the tabernacle was preserved untouched in the upright ciboria on the day of the fire.

Donated by one of the Shrine faithful three years ago, the tabernacle door depicts the Infant King with the words “The more you honor Me, the more I will bless you.” The faithful will be able to see the tabernacle up close on display this weekend. It will be installed in the high altar in the Upper Room for Christmas.

The Institute expresses its heartfelt appreciation to the all its supporters whose donations made possible the refurbishing of this beautiful and unique tabernacle for the Infant King! Holy Mass is being offered each week for the intentions of the Shrine’s benefactors.
