False Teachers In The Church | Christian Deception

There are Many False Teachers In The Church

To expose the false teachers in the church, God’s people must put on the mind of Christ, in order to shine the light of His Gospel on the deception presented as truth that leads to darkness.

So many people base their Christian security and knowledge of scripture on the vain words of the false teachers in the Church. The deceptive teachings of men that are without the Spirit of God prevent their followers from ever having a true knowledge of Christ, that only comes through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

John 15:26-27 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:  And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

Our teacher ultimately is the Holy Spirit that Christ sent to us. Once we have the infilling of His Spirit we can know the truth that sets us free from the bondage of deceit, false hope and outrageous illusions.

Our greatest desires should be to receive the Comforter that enables us to understand Christ’s testimony of truth, as we seek first the kingdom of God (James 4:3-4; Math 6:33).

John 16:13-14 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

False Teachers In The Church Man is not the author of truth nor can he by himself fully understand truth. It is the Holy Spirit that shows us the truth, when we have submitted to the Lord and are in a position to receive it. If we think we have the truth by or in ourselves, we through pride have already prevented the Spirit from abiding in us. This is exactly what the false teachers in the Church are counting on.

1 Cor 2:13-14 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Unfortunately too many people readily accept any thing that these false teachers in the Church have to say. Unless the Holy Spirit has called them to be teachers they should not be in this important position, and the obvious deception that they teach proves they are frauds.

1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Many claim to keep the Ten Commandments, which were part of the old law, but we are no longer under the old law. The false teachers in the Church need to keep people under the bondage of Old Testament, in part to keep the tithes coming in.

To claim to be justified by the old law is actually a separation from Christ, as you are fallen from grace and not led by the spirit of truth (Gal 5:4; Gal 5:18). You will never hear this truth presented by the false teachers in the Church.

Rom 4:14 For if they which are of the law [be] heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

Many false teachers in the Church, proclaim that we are still under the Old Testament law, and falsely teach that Salvation is accomplished through a formula of words to be recited. Christ never spoke of keeping the Sabbath. We are under no obligation to keep or observe this as a day of rest; we are however to keep every day holy as unto the Lord.

There is no profit in this pretend game of playing church that so many succumb to. There is however great profit for the false teachers in the Church, who have convinced their congregation that the reality of Godliness that they present is the truth. The true joy, wisdom and power that comes from a Spirit filled relationship with Jesus is never realized by those who are kept from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

False Teachers In The Church & Christ The One True Shepherd

No man can rightfully accept the name of a pastor when used in the context of becoming a shepherd of the church, as this title of shepherd is reserved for Christ alone.

Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers

But these false teachers in the Church do not want you to know that there is only but one true shepherd. For a detailed look at the word shepherd and the incorrect use of the word pastor that is inserted into Eph 4:11, see this article. Then scroll down to the verse, John 10:11-12, which is next to the photo of the sheep in the pasture.

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

The one who is hired is not the shepherd, and when these false teachers in the Church see destruction coming, they will flee causing the flock to become scattered.

What a fitting description of the situation today; so many men who claim to be shepherds (or pastors) are not, but are merely the false teachers in the Church that lead the people astray. Christ warned us of this happening, He also warned us of the blindness and apathy that would occur, and intensify towards the end of this age.

Christ is the head of the church and no man can legally take the title of Rabbi (that is to say Master) Father, or Shepherd. Christ is our only master and Shepherd, and we are all brethren.

2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The body of Christ, as a result of the false teachers in the Church, is generally unwilling or unable in most cases to think for themselves. They would rather listen to men that claim a god given right to have authority over them and the gospel.

2 Tim 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables

False Teachers In The Church are Preventing the True Gospel Message Of Christ From Being Understood

Declaring that god wants to bless us with everything we desire to satisfy the desires of our flesh is the new gospel presented by the false teachers in the Church, and it is very popular. Preaching about taking up ones cross and suffering with Christ has been replaced with the Pre-tribulation Rapture Deception.

1 Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned

Without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit the truths of Christ cannot be known. One of the greatest lies that these false teachers in the Church present, is that all who accept Christ are automatically Born Again.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

If Christians who claim to be Born again truly were, all of the false teachers in the Church would be exposed, and their so-called church buildings would be vacant.

2 Cor 4:3-4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them

This is a real warning given to the believer, let’s examine some common teachings propagated by these false teachers in the Church, and compare them to the truth in the Word!

False Teachers In The Church Are Leading People Astray

1 Tim 5:17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Most false teachers in the Church would say that the double honor mentioned here is monetary in nature, and payable in part to them. However the true laborer has the reward of living by the very words of the gospel that they preach.

1 Cor 9:13-14 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?  Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

False Teachers In The Church The reward that the false teachers in the Church seek after, is a monetary one, and they have no problem whatsoever in twisting scriptures to facilitate this plunder. Living according to the gospel is the honor and reward for this spirit filled laborer of Christ.

The meaning for the word honor, that is used in double honor in first Timothy 5:17, in no way refers to money (1 Cor 12: 23; 1 Tim 1:17; 1 Peter 1:7). Likewise the reward spoken of in first Timothy 5:18, is not one of a monetary nature either. But the false teachers in the Church are business men and money and fame are their desired goals.

Matt 10:7-8 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

We are not to turn the sharing of the gospel message into a business opportunity, and no one should profit from sharing Christ with others.

As A Result Of The False Teachers In The Church – Christ’s True Gospel Is Hidden From Many

Since the advent of Christ’s new covenant, several changes were made that are not understood by the false teachers in the Church or their converts. Large glamorous buildings are never to be referred to as churches, as this is the title for the body of Christ. The Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands; the true believer that follows Jesus with Faith Hope and Love is where the Holy Spirit now dwells (Acts 7:48; Acts 17:24; 1Cor 3:17; 1Cor 6:19).

False teachers in the Church do usually present some truths in their sermons; however the majority of the messages they present will be based upon their own interpretations. Without the Holy Spirit to teach us the truth, we can only use our own wisdom which will only bring about deception.

1 Cor 9:18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

The true man of God filled with the spirit who correctly interprets scripture has certain characteristics that set him apart. He weeps in his Spirit, for the lost and deceived that think they are saved as a result of adhering to false messages of hope from the false teachers in the Church. As well monetary gains are simply not considered, as rewards through and in Christ are the prizes sought after, that will never perish.

1 Peter 5:2-3 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

So often we hear these false teachers in the Church recite extravagant prayers that really impress those around them, because of the elegance and grandeur of the words. The crowd is led to believe that these men are full of the spirit, when in fact they are merely imposters.

Matt 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

The doctrine of baptism is a mystery to most because the false teachers in the Church have distorted the simple truth of this gift from God. But it is very simple to understand, if you have the spirit of discernment. This is discussed in more detail in a teaching entitled Salvation.

Luke 3:16-17 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

Jesus Christ did not perform water baptism unto repentance, but rather the baptism of the Holy Spirit unto salvation; he that believes and is baptized by the Holy Spirit shall be saved (Mark 16:16; Gal 3:27; Math 24:13).

Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

False Teachers In The Church – See That Ye Be Not Deceived

The false teachers in the Church operate in the flesh, and regard the things of the flesh. They are in fact blind to the truth and purpose of this life, which is to be in Christ. As a result of their guidance as it were, those that they teach also have a focus on material things and selfish desires. These people want a god that will accept their self righteousness and worldly pursuits and still consider them righteous.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Christ.

Here is the bottom line; if you do not have Christ’s Spirit living inside of you then you are not one of His children.

Eph 1:17-18 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Those who are filled with the Holy Spirit recognize the lies passed off as truths, by the charlatans, who are the false teachers in the Church.

2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

As the above verses point out to us, no one individual or group has control over, or final authority on the correct understanding of what is written in these books that make up the Holy Bible. This task is reserved for the Holy Spirit that teaches us all things. And yet many people hold up these false teachers in the Church to a god like level, convinced that they alone are empowered with the truth and understanding of scripture.

False teachers in the Church –  Self Imposed & Exalted positions Of Control Through Deception

False Teachers In The Church There are many manipulative techniques used by false teachers in the Church that enable them to be in control; few question their position of power or authority, as they are led to believe that it is God ordained.

False teachers in the Church use suggestive words and emotional conditioning through lighting, soft music and or a teary eyed plea. These are some of the tactics employed to manipulate people to respond in a certain manner.

False teachers in the Church deceive by omission, this is when they leave out some of the truth, to present their truth. This is also known as propaganda.

False teachers in the Church are masters at seduction. They use their voice, stance, confidence and image to grab the attention of a crowd and keep it. With almost a magical charm they can allure or captivate the audience with a hypnotic like manipulation of the truth.

False teachers in the Church make claims that the ministry is in trouble, and without immediate financial contributions many will suffer. People do not like to see or hear of sufferings, and if they are made to feel responsible, it is usually fairly easy to get them to cooperate.

False teachers in the Church like to be seen as having the role of being God’s ordained teachers, or prophets. Once they have obtained this cult like status, people no longer even think for themselves. As well they sometimes violently protect the belief system and the leader(s) that they unwittingly worship.

With the tactics above employed it is easy for false teachers in the Church to masquerade using a disguising pretense, and thus cloak or hide a self-serving agenda, under the pretext of operating as the servant or spokesperson of God.

Eph 1:13-14 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Spiritually speaking, we are to put our trust in no man. Only Christ can be totally trusted, and He alone has the power to redeem us. These verses in Ephesians are a condensed version of the Christian journey unto salvation. We hear the message of truth revealed to us in the gospel that shows the path unto Salvation. Then once we trust and believe the Word we are sealed by means of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This infilling of the Spirit is a down payment on the purchased possession wherein Jesus bought us through His shed blood. The inheritance is when we are redeemed, and join Christ for all of eternity. Many hear of the word by means of a teacher or preacher, however to stay under a teacher never graduating so to speak, is not what is expected of us. Hearing the messenger, if he is truly sent by God, is only the first part in ones walk. The next step is to be taught of the Holy Spirit, and then receive the power to know the truth for yourself and partake in the ministry.

Matt 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

To be effective in the ministry, pride ego and self-centered or self-righteous behaviors should not be at all present. Christ reveals His truth to all that ask in faith and love, but we must be humble and submit to His commandments.

When one truly believes on Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit through a real faith, it is natural to obey and follow the Word and be faithful even unto death. Christ said to take care that you be not deceived by men. Most of the deception is at the hands of the false teachers in the Church (Math 24:4).

Luke 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

We are all to bear the cross with our eyes set on Jesus, thus fulfilling the mission of becoming part of the church. The average person thinks that the Christian experience involves the following:

  • Spending an hour a week at a building that is incorrectly refereed to as a church.

  • Giving money, incorrectly referred to as tithes, to 501c3 corporations posing as the church.

  • Repeating verses that they are led to recite under the illusion that doing so will ensure their immediate salvation.

These actions have nothing to do with bearing the cross of Christ; they prove a complete lack of the Spiritual understanding and depth required to follow Christ.

Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

  • In order to worship God we must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. When leadership fails at either one of these obligations they create bondage for all who follow. Coming out of the deception is the task at hand for all of us so that we ourselves don’t become the next example of a false teacher.

Have to also say here that the Holy Spirit will only lead us to the word of God, not to new age interpretations for the end times that brings us the doctrines of devils known as the return of the Nephalim and Planet X aka Nibiru. But allot of people offer us this stuff as a plausible explanation of things in the Bible, with their devilish spin on it all, and yet people fall for this. The Holy Spirit will not lead us to such things, it will only lead us to the word of truth which can only be found in the Word of God. All of those people who bring us these new age message are of Satan although some of them wouldn’t for one minute believe that’s who they serve.
