(Before It's News)
This Walk
The sky is blue today, a shimmering royal shade
The air has a winter nip, one that tweaks my skin
My heart pounds, as I survey what man has made
Birds are singing, I hear them above the traffics din
In the distance the big Arena looks like a cruise ship
A tangle of shiny metal, anchored in the landscape
A pilgrimage shrine, where sports fans go to worship
As cares get left behind, freedom revels in joyful escape
This walk reminds me of the beauty that surrounds me
I thank God for his care, for the wealth of being healthy.

I walked to the school and on the way back I noticed the Ricoh Arena in the distance, my walk got me thinking and I wrote the above.
