I like to see and read what the so-called prophets of today are saying about what they believe is in the future of the world. I have been hearing for the past four or five years that President Obama won't make it through his either first or second term, depending on when such statements were written. In addition to this are the numerous statements that the end of the United States is coming. Now, as a resident and citizen of the US, I don't pay any attention to any of these things. Many of these so-called prophets say that as great and powerful as the United States is, it's not mentioned in the Bible. In fact, the ONLY nation mentioned in the Bible is Israel, apart from nations that no longer exist or are nebulous in understanding just who they are. We don't even know who the Philistines were nor do we know much about any of the other cultures mentioned in the Bible. I have said that the Red Dragon in Revelation is Red China, but in fact, this is such a negative connotation for a nation that I can be thankful that the US and other great nations are NOT mentioned in the Bible.
So, the question then can be asked by most anyone, what then do we do with Biblical prophecy? I have only one thing to say about ANY biblical prophecy: All prophecy has now been fulfilled with the exception of the coming of the Messiah. That is all there is to it. I know I can be accused of being too simple in both my theology and eschatology, but the fact is that what I claim is from my Angels is about as simple as it gets. Jesus can come most ANY day now. Really. I have been saying that the period of the Great Tribulation is over and we are now in the Apocalyptic Age. But if I were to give ANY advice on HOW to live our lives, I would suggest that one plans for the future as if one is going to live to be a 100 and that the Messiah won't come for another several hundred years. This is HOW we are to live. I am not suggesting we go to some hilltop and sit there and wait having sold all our possessions and having nothing but hope. Such thinking is irresponsible and in fact, would NOT be what the Messiah would want us to do. We are to live and work as if Jesus is NOT coming today and plan our future accordingly, while at the same time, in the back of our minds we KNOW that the Messiah COULD come most ANY day now. It's not difficult to plan for the future. Whether it is financial planning, or planning for college for our kids, or whatever we choose to plan, we make plans. It is foolish to do otherwise. We can't do a damned thing if we believe the Messiah is coming before 2017. What if He doesn't come? People have been saying the Messiah is coming for the past 2,000 years and He STILL has NOT arrived. We live with the Hope we will not face death. But what if we do? Have we made plans for our deaths? It would be foolish not to.
All these so-called prophets are doing is simply getting people worked up and putting false beliefs in the minds of their listeners or readers while making a pretty good sum of money in the process. Don't be caught up in their hype. Live your lives as if they are wrong and then wait for the Messiah to come until death. People have been doing this for 2,000 years and I see no reason to stop doing it now. Peace. I am Brother Ralphie writing for my Angels from The Angels of Life Institute.
