For the Christian, Salvation is through Christ alone, there is no other way. The full assurance of Salvation is only truly realized once we have been sealed by the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
John 14:6-7 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Without the spirit of Christ dwelling within us, which is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit we are not truly in Christ. Salvation is through Christ alone, and it is not achieved by our works. It is Christ’s Spirit that gives us life (John 6:63).
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.
The gift of the Holy Spirit is a down payment available to all who have been purchased by the shed blood of Christ unto the remission of sins (Math 26:28, Mark 14:24).
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.
The righteousness of the new covenant law of Christ can be fulfilled in those, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. To be in the flesh or carnally minded is unto death. To put on the mind of Christ, is unto life and peace (Romans 8:4-6, 1 Cor 2:16, Phl 2:5).
Salvation is through Christ alone, those that remain in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Salvation is through Christ alone, and those without His indwelling follow the spirit of this world. But those who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (1 Cor 2:12, Rom 8:14).
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Once we truly are in the spirit, we are sealed or set apart from the world. The LORD hath set apart him that is Godly for himself (Psa 4:3).
Becoming sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise is the earnest of our inheritance. The redemption of the purchased possession is revealed when we are raised up at the last day (Eph 1:14, John 6:44, 6:54, 11:24, 12:48).
Lam 3:26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Salvation is through Christ alone, and the fulfillment of Christ’s contract with his Elect is our inheritance fully realized.
As we see the end times tribulations come to pass, we are to look up, and lift up our heads for our redemption is near (Luke 21:28, Rom 8:23).
Amen, Salvation is indeed the hope for the True follower of Christ!!!
