Continuing a Theme

(Before It's News)

There is a theme or there is some kind of approach to understanding the Bible from cover to cover that is different from a theme that is commonly preached and taught in Christian circles.  I never intended to make a penny from my Angels nor do I really care about the number of hits I get for ANYTHING I post for my Angels.  For me, the theme of the Bible is what I am now calling the “exclusionary rule.”  I believe Jesus died for ALL my sins.  I don't have a problem with this.  But unlike Christianity that measures the growth of a person by certain litmus tests, I don't accept that a person really has to change EXCEPT in one way.  Understanding Jesus gives us a sense of Peace, regardless of what we observe in this world.  This Peace essentially says that one will NOT do intentional harm to anyone including that of oneself.  This is the measure of Peace.  On this blog, I outline four things that define an understanding of Jesus.  We do ho harm to others; we prevent harm to others; we don't harm ourselves; and we live lives that do NOT cause others to want to do harm to us.  That is really all there is to it.  This is what I believe to be the true definition of living in Peace, which is the hallmark of the meaning of belief.  We never seek to intentionally harm anyone including ourselves.  We avoid harm.  And really, when it comes right down to it, in today's world, it seems it doesn't take much to piss one off to want to take your life.  There are people who carry guns just waiting for the opportunity to kill someone with it.  Just because the laws allow you to carry a gun doesn't mean God is going to excuse you for using it.  He won't.  If you carry a gun for your own peace, You do NOT live in peace.

I am not sure what my single theme for the Bible is except for stating that EVERY Human Life is sacred to God.  No one ever has any reason given by God to ever take the life of any person for ANY reason; and that we are not owners of our own lives and thus, this is why we are temples of the Holy Spirit, because we never have any authority from God to ever take our own lives.  Jesus endured all He had to endure so that we could endure life too no matter what life throws at us.  We have no choice but to endure.  So, ALL Human Life is sacred, whether you believe in God or not.

So, yesterday, when I wrote about salvation, I am saying that we are all on equal footing when it comes to salvation and what we cannot do is intentionally take a Human Life.  This is something we cannot do.  I say this is the true mark of belief.  And this is what it means to live in Peace.  We can think that if a person is a Christian, he or she will be sexually pure.  Or that he or she odes NOT commit certain sins that surely are hallmarks of unbelievers.  If you do NOT live in Peace, I would suggest you don't know the Jesus of the cross.  You don't know the meaning of His life and work.  You don't know that Jesus died for EVERY sin known to humanity except for the sin of intentionally taking ao Human Life.  I would say that understanding Jesus in this light, IS the hallmark of belief.  I am Brother Ralphie writing for my Angels from The Angels of Life Institute.  Peace. Brother Ralphie works from his study for the promotion of Peaceful living and inner Peace with God. He calls this the “Sanctity of Human Life Movement.”
