New heavens and a new earth at the second gathering of Israel
The second gathering of Israel is unto Salvation
The second gathering of Israel is unto Salvation, after the Son of man returns a second time with great Power and Glory (Mark 13:26, Isa 11:11).
- Woe to those who have scattered the sheep of His pasture, His flock (Jer 23:1).
- Christ our Shepherd, will gather the remnant of His flock that are scattered throughout the nations, and His name is THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS (Jer 23:3, 6, 8).
Isaiah 11:11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people…
The second gathering of Israel, represents those who have accepted the cleansing power of the shed blood of Christ, and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us, describes several attributes of those who will receive Christ’s Blessings at the second gathering of Israel :
- Blessed are the meek, (not the proud) for they will inherit the earth (Matt 5:5).
- Blessed are those which are persecuted for the name of Christ for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matt 5:10; Rev 20:4).
- Those who hear and understand the Word of the Kingdom through the Spirit will not have that Word taken away by the enemy (Mat 13:19).
- We must be converted and become like children if we are to enter into the Kingdom (Mat 18:3).
Children depend on their father for everything including:
- Direction and guidance in all things-The Sealing or Baptism in the Holy Spirit (John 16:13).
- Protection- Truth, Righteousness, The Gospel of Peace, Faith, The Hope of Salvation and the Word of God (Eph 6:11-16).
- Food-The True Gospel of Jesus Christ (John 8:32).
- Love-We love Him because He first loved us (John 15:9; John 14:21; John 15:12-13).
The Spirit of Christ in His children will produce fruits, some of these are love, joy, peace, perseverance, gentleness, goodness and faith (Gal 5:22).
New heavens and a new earth At The Second Gathering Of Israel
There are several Bible verses that seem to describe the complete annihilation of planet earth at the end of this age. Although there will be significant destruction that occurs during the end of this age, the earth is not completely destroyed. Christ will return to restore and rebuild His Kingdom. Would the Lord God that Created all things, desire the second gathering of Israel to inherit destruction?
2 Peter 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
The judgment is primarily against the ungodly men, who are the workers of iniquity. The earth (or land) and the works that are therein shall be burnt up, but we look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness (2 Peter 3:10-13).
Matt 13:39-40 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
As it was in the days of Lot and Noah, so shall it also be when Christ returns. He will destroy all of the wicked. The ones left behind represent the second gathering of Israel and are considered righteous and faithful, and those taken are the workers of iniquity.
The pre-tribulation rapture deception, most assuredly is not something that Christ taught. At the end of the Great Tribulation period, which is three and a half years , the rapture or gathering of the Elect unto Christ will occur (Luke 17:26-37). This Rapture unto the Lord, is when the second gathering of Israel occurs, and the Elect are Caught Up In the Lord to Reign with Him on earth for a 1000 years.
Isaiah 65:17-18 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
The second gathering of Israel will involve a new creation by the Lord. The people will build houses, and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of thereof.
In the second creation, after the thousand year reign of Christ, the Lord provides His people with a complete city already built for them (Isaiah 65:21-22; Rev 21:10-23).
The curse has devoured the earth (or land), and they that dwell therein are desolate, therefore the inhabitants of the earth are melted (or burnt like kindling), and there are few men left (Isaiah 24:6). However Christ will bring about the second gathering of Israel, and the righteous shall shine as the sun (Mat 13:43). The Lord will Reign in Mount Zion, in Jerusalem.
Isaiah 24:23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.
Look up to the heavens, and look upon the earth below, for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth will become old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner…(Isaiah 51:6).
The second gathering of Israel, will not be a temporary time of Joy, it will be everlasting.
Isaiah 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
The Redeemed of the Lord represents the second gathering of Israel unto redemption which is the promise of Salvation and the eternal inheritance with Jesus.
The Second Gathering Of Israel - and mine elect shall inherit it
Isaiah 65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
The promise was made to Abraham and His seed, which is Christ Jesus. The second gathering of Israel is when Christ will rejoice with His chosen ones, that have His Spirit of truth. All that share in the righteousness of the faith of Abraham, are the seed that Christ brings forth unto His inheritance. This includes the dead in Christ, that have waited for this day wherein they receive resurrected, immortal and incorruptible bodies.
This is a time of restoration unlike any other, and probably similar to the first creation in many ways.
Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
Christ will send forth his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that are an offence, and all those that practice iniquity. These idolaters will be cast into a furnace of fire, where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. But those who are of the second gathering of Israel, the righteous, will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father (Matt 13:41-43).
