Waiting Quietly
Soon Ordinary Time fades, and Lent begins
A time to take stock, to confess my many sins
I’m waiting quietly, adorning a church pew
I am determined my faltering heart will renew
Silently my soul welcomes the author of days
While my spirit seeks to follow in Christ’s ways.
