(Before It's News)

Last year UNESCO passed an anti-Israel resolution which denied Jewish connections to the Temple Mount and Western Wall in Jerusalem and designated it as only a Muslim holy site. This became a real controversy among Jews and Christians who recognize the true Biblical and historical backgrounds and religious significance of the sites.

Now the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has spoken out in opposition to that earlier ridiculous vote and confirmed what everyone knew- the Jews have actual historical ties to Jerusalem that cannot and should not be denied. From Breitbart News:

Guterres made his remarks during a meeting with World Jewish Congress (WJC) President Ronald Lauder in New York.

According to a statement released by the WJC, Guterres reaffirmed comments he had made on Israel radio, in which he said,

“It is completely clear the temple that the Romans destroyed in Jerusalem was a Jewish temple.”

He added,

“No doubt that Jerusalem is, today, a holy city for three religions. These are facts that nobody can deny.”

Response: There are historical ‘facts’ that the Muslims want to ignore. They would like to re-write the Jews out of the history of Israel and Jerusalem if the world will let them. Last year a lot of nations ‘politically’ supported that Muslim cause.

This is long overdue. Guterres is just stating historical facts and officially tried to correct the damage done by UNESCO’s ridiculous resolution. The UN lost a lot of credibility with that action and if Guterres would really to do something about it he would do more than talk. He would order a new vote to rescind the original resolution. But the political powers in the UN are still substantially against Israel. The Bible predicted this would happen over 2 thousand years ago:

On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. -Zechariah 12:3

The Muslims want to remove Jerusalem from its actual history by making it their exclusive holy site. According to Bible it will never happen no matter if the whole world stands against Israel. Every single country who voted for that spurious UNESCO resolution should expect some kind of political, economic, or climatic injury to follow their actions if it already hasn’t happened.                 *Top
