Denial – Alcoholics and Churchgoers deny that the solution to their problems lies within, rather than without.

Guilt Ridden – To alleviate guilt stemming from their past, Alcoholics Drink and Religious people attend Church.

Cravings – Whether it’s for Alcohol or for Forgiveness, physical and psychological cravings are manifested.

Reward Based – Alcoholics justify Drinking to relieve stress while Churchgoers use Religion to relieve their guilt.

Fake Facade – To the outside world, Alcoholics and Churchgoers generally seem to be managing their life well.

Hopelessness – Alcoholics and Churchgoers are mired in feelings of hopelessness about their life, their
future, who they really are and what will happen to them after they die. Alcohol and Religion gives them hope.

Insecurity – Stemming from unresolved trauma, Alcoholics and Churchgoers suffer from insecurity and self-worthlessness about their life, relationships and career.  Alcohol and Religion can give temporary confidence.

Shame – Alcoholics and Churchgoers tend to carry a great deal of shame about themselves, their relationships, bodies and sexual desires. Repression often leads to dire consequences like depression and deeper addiction.

Spiritual Blocker – Alcoholics and Churchgoers tend to foster isolation and deny their spiritual connection to one another, to the universe and to God. Recovery is often accompanied by a spiritual awakening.

  • Let me guess, Communism is the answer, right?

Same can be said of alcohol and politics or processed food and evolutionists, anything for that matter.

ALL is belief, for as history has demonstrated repeatedly, when it comes to reality, we don’t know the half of it, yet. What is the world without belief….TRUST?

There are basically two kinds of faith, really, well placed and misplaced.

One man bases his belief, for instance, in a certain corporation’s stock price on various plausible or implausible factors. If the stock does well, he is rewarded….

Although it’s quite true that institutionalized religion is fraught with corruption and antiquated tradition….it is also true that many of those who condemn them, suffer from much the same condition.

“Stick enough labels on her, and we can smother the world.”

Judge not, lest ye be judged.

      Live and let live…..

Google: Huge Media Blackout and then read Luke 21:25-28, Revelation 16:8 and Isaiah 24:20

See the prolific evidence that shows how late the hour truly is….

      Blessings in Christ
