Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reiterated the need for a global transformation towards establishing a new world order based on valuing the rights of all nations.
“Everyone must strive to establish a just order on the basis of respecting the rights of all nations across the globe [and one] in which every nation can be independent and decide on its own path of progress,” Ahmadinejad said in a Wednesday meeting in Tehran with South Korea’s new ambassador to the Islamic Republic, Sung Wung Yeub.
The Iranian president also described the friendship between Iran and South Korea as “historic and deep,” pointing to the cultural commonalities in which human relations are of utmost significance.
Underlining Iran’s interest in enhancing comprehensive ties with South Korea, President Ahmadinejad emphasized that both nations have always opposed dominance, oppression and discrimination in international relations and have persistently sought independence, peace and justice for all.
