(Before It's News)

In a follow up to a story about an 18ft and 400 lbs Oarfish found and photographed on the California coast more than five days ago, this past Friday, October 18th, a second Oarfish 14ft was discovered in Oceanside, Southern California. The first Oarfish was located off Santa Catalina Island (Avalon) about 47 nautical miles separate the two locations.

The Oarfish is a very rare leviathan or sea serpent and swims at depths of 3,000 ft below the surface.  Japanese folklore said that the Oarfish is an indication of earthquakes and it has been documented that prior to major earthquakes Oarfish acts as a bad omen. Nature usually will give us a sign or precursor before major events. (Before August 23, 2011, 6.0 earthquake on the East Coast of the US, we were felt the need to go on a picnic at a nature conservatory and we were not aware of the earthquake that day until family and friends called our cell phones).

Many people have been waiting for the big event or an earthquake greater than 8.0 to hit Southern California for many years, could the resurfacing of the these Oarfish be a sign of things to come.

  • They could just be a by product of the radiation coming from fukushima, either way there is no joy in this story.

This phenomenon also took place in India before the massive 2004 Tsunami. There was a saber tooth whale washed up in Venice Beach, an earthquake in the Gulf of California and an earthquake in Riverside County, CA in the last two weeks. And Sea Lion pups beached themselves throughout the summer in San Diego county. Something is definitely happening or about to happen in California.
