Costco, the one stop shopping destination that sells everything from clothes, furniture, books, frozen food, etc., but very little fresh produce? One could always count on the bulk availabilty of lettuce, corn, brocolli, strawberries, apples, etc.
Very surprising to see the cold room devoid of any produce. Just a sign that it had been relocated to the dairy section. The only items available were green bananas, hot house tomatoes, and some pineapples.
Off to the produce section, to locate where this fresh produce had been relocated.
Where once there had been stocked the oversupply and fresh flowers there was now just some organic milk and no flowers at all. Ummm…
Wandered all over the store and never did find the produce. I thought at a minimum there would be peaches since they are in season right now. Not one!
I then had to go to the local grocer which had produce. I had an interesting conversation with another customer who did not seem at all supplied. A family member had just been let go from Costco because the company was planning to downsize and did not need all the staff.
Really? Then why did they just build a building addition, which oddly is not open to the public?
