Yet another ridiculously misplaced AND ALTERED verse in Luke meant to obscure the guilty [Violent conspiring Pharisees...like Paul]

(Before It's News)

Out of the blue Luke mentions ‘John’…we even have to assume it’s the Baptist since NO reference is given to relate this verse to ANYTHING previously written since chapter 7 [lifted from Matthew 11]…

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.” Luke 16:16

The truth is however…

1)  “all the prophets and the law prophesied until John” Matthew 11:13 –

message of the prophets:

Before John –> ‘Repent or face wrath’

Since and including John –> ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is coming’

2) “the violent TAKE IT BY FORCE [harpazousin, Strong's 726]” — NOT “every man” [pas, Strong's 3956] BUT “the violent” [biastai, Strong's 973] –

which is just like this scenario: “When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away [harpazei, Strong's 726] that which was sown in his heart.” Matthew 13:19

THE VIOLENT

“But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.” Matthew 21:38

And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.

Matthew 11
