Electors should be required to cast their votes in the manner determined by the popular vote of their state. It should be a felony to do otherwise. However, what should be in politics, is not often the way that it works out.
Fifteen electors have stated that they are not casting their ballot for Donald Trump despite the fact that Trump won the popular vote in the election. That makes 15 down and 22 to go. IF this happens, we will see a constitutional crisis like none other.

1. Trump did not win the popular vote he lost by over 2.5 million. Stop! If electors votes represented the votes of the people, there would be no need for them; but since small rural conservative states like Montana and Wyoming, which are cheap to buy, have 2-4 times more voting power, per voters, than where most people live, the Electoral College is able to reverse the popular vote, which is a coup, legal as it is, since it overthrows the election results to declare the loser the winner.
The EC is a relic of the slave age, used to block opposition to the tyranny of the slave masters. Today, it is used to undermine the will of the people, which makes the selected (but not elected) person the winner. This is a coup’ this is tyranny, rule of the minority,lacking consent and therefore legitimacy.
How can a man who lost by 2.5 million, even after Republican purges, voter suppression, and appeals to racists and bigots, be said to have “won the popular vote?” Everyone know that is a lie, so why is Beforeiitsnew, globally respected for its objectity, publishing such lies?
