I know a guy ADDICTED to DIE IT sodas. Has to have it everyday. Buys it by the case. He has diabetes, high-blood pressure, is obese and can hardly open a bottle cap.
A lady said she drank it all the time and ended up with painful arthritis and cannot even open a bottle cap and warned us not to drink soda.
I know another lady that drinks it. Use to buy soda at 7-11 the largest size and drink it everyday too, just about. She weighs over 300lbs!! Seems, I never seen her without a Super Big Gulp in her hand.
Me? I stick to doughnuts.
Some people just won’t listen to reason or accept reality ! Though it isn’t the same thing , it’s the same principle ; I worked with a guy a number of years ago who would always sit next to the microwave oven in the break room where I worked at the time (with his head at the level of the microwave just a few feet away while everyone else was using the thing . I tried to tell him that it was dangerous to sit any closer than six to eight feet away from it MINIMUM while it was running because those things leak radiation while they are operating . He told me that he and his wife always sat right next to it in their kitchen when their microwave oven was operating and that he KNEW that it HAD to be safe………five years later they BOTH died of advanced BRAIN CANCER !!! I don’t think THAT was just a random coincidence !!!!
Decades of scientific research, as well as regulatory agencies around the globe, have repeatedly reaffirmed the safety of low- and no-calorie sweeteners as part of the diet. And the science is clear that because they have few, if any, calories these sweeteners can be an effective tool for weight loss or as part of a weight management plan.
With respect to aspartame specifically, scientists and regulatory agencies around the globe have repeatedly reaffirmed this ingredient’s safety. In fact, the EFSA recently conducted an in-depth risk assessment on aspartame, and deemed it safe for general consumption and pregnant women, as well as ruled out other alleged effects. In sum, low-calorie sweeteners and beverages containing these ingredients are safe and can be enjoyed with confidence.
