Etceteras: vintage button snowflake
I was invited to a Snowflake Party. Now, I know for most you that won’t sound strange but many people will be wondering what the heck a Snowflake Party is. For instance, when I told my family that dinner would be a bit delayed because I was finishing my project for a Snowflake Party – they gave me that blank look that I often get… A Snowflake Party is basically a group of bloggers and a hostess all creating a themed project. Fun!
I was invited to the party awhile ago and was poised to let the hostess know that I wouldn’t be able to participate – it's just such a crazy time of year. But just as the party deadline was approaching, I found a lone wooden snowflake in my supplies. It looked so sad and bare I decided to try to decorate it for the party.
My first instinct was a snowy or glittery snowflake but I decided to use some of my vintage buttons and try for a different twist on a snowflake.
The buttons are glued to the wood base and layered to cover up any bare spots. And, just like snowflakes, each button is unique and different.
I’m so glad that I didn’t cancel on this party. It pushed me to create something that I wouldn’t normally have thought of.
