The location of this earthquake makes sense. There are quadrillions of tons of off-center Antarctic ice centered about 300-350 miles east of the South Pole, and centripetal tangential force pushes the crust of the earth north along longitude 96 degrees east in the same direction as the last major pole shift thousands of years ago. Where the crust is being pushed past the equatorial bulge and being squeezed into a narrower area on the opposite side of the equator, the stresses leading to major earthquakes are strongest. The number 1 spot for these earthquakes will be northwestern Indonesia, and as the entire surface will move as one piece, the number 2 spot with resultant earthquake problems will be on the opposite side of the world off the coast of South America just below the equator.
When the poles shift again, the Americas are likely to move south again. SE Asia will move north; the next predicted site for the future North Pole is near Lake Baikal in Siberia. FWIW, magnetic north is already moving towards that same spot.
What I find interesting is the people who try to discourage others to NOT prepare for up coming events by saying everything is okay, nothing unusual. Folks, these kind of people are not your friends, they are less than the magots who will eat them. YOUR goverment has prepared. It has taken them years to do this with your tax dollars. If you havent gotten an invite to their cozy shelters with mass food storage and other items, it would be wisr to follow their foot steps and prepare for yourself.
