  • Bagram - It started slow and grew in strength over 1 to 2 mins.
  • Chiang Mai - A series of slight bumps over a 3 second period I've been through a couple hundred quakes so I noticed an otherwise negligible motion.

  • Multan - I felt it. The things were shaking clearly.
  • Delhi - The tremors were felt for more than a minute and caused considerable panic as to whether the shaking will increase and cause damage.
  • New Delhi - Strong tremors
  • Islamabad - still not sure, how much damage
  • New Delhi - i was really very scared
  • Lahore - Initially it was vertical shocks and after 5 to 10 seconds it became horizontal sway. Continued for about a minutes.

  • Tashkent - I felt shaking
  • Mussoorie - No Damage.... mild shake
  • New Delhi - Felt tremors twice... It was bad... Bed windows doors were shaking
  • Lahore - fear
  • Rawalpindi - Very violent shaking with two strong shocks. No damage in my area.
  • Rish Khvor - Buildings shaking noticeably; duration was at least 30 seconds. No damage; no falling rocks or terrain alteration noticed.
  • Tashkent - Long period strong shaking
  • Bishkek - качало сильно около 20 секунд
  • Islamabad - Earthquake while i am in office today.
  • Dushanbe - Strong shaking, people ran outside
  • Taxila - It started with gradual speed but the amplitude of the vibration increased with time to certain level that people came out from their flats all over the street. Paintings hanged by the wall were oscillating until the earthquake vibration started dampening. Duration was more than a minute, may 2 or 3. Among the tensed atmosphere, it was almost impossible to determine the duration
  • Gurgaon - No visible damage. People out on the road vacating buildings
  • Bagram Air Base - the office was shaking alot
  • Faisalabad - Severe Shaking
  • Tashkent - very strong
  • Lahore - Scary
  • Jalalabad - My sandbag wall fell over.
  • Azadkashmir - it was very shoking
  • Bagram - Very strong shaking.... two waves
  • Srinagar - Not severe but lasted long...
  • Bagram - Been through a lot of earthquakes in Japan. This is the first experience with things falling off of furniture though.
  • Beas, near Amritsar, Punjab - No damage, just a mild shaking
  • Noida - Felt it for 5 minutes. Could see stuff around me shaking vigourously
  • Delhi - 8 Floor building shook, all the employees ran out, and we had difficulty walking down the stairs. The water dispenser shook and the doors shook.
  • Ghaziabad - Very strong tremors
  • chandigarh - scary,,,
  • Shymkent - tremor
  • Noida - no damage -all good -- evacuating the high rises done
  • Kabul - During this great earthquake i was in the first story of five story building. During the quake the building was moving around i get out of the building for several seconds even the ground it is self was moving severely. Fraidoon Alkozai
  • Amritsar - it is too much horifying and violet. Ashwani kumar sharma
  • Tashkent - No damage. Doors were vibrating and chandeliers were swinging a little bit. At first wasn't sure what it was but then the rattle got a little stronger, lasted maybe a minute. Dogs were barking outside.
  • New Delhi - No damage. Felt some shaking
  • Churu - Well the table on which i was working started shaking in a reasonable manner..I havent experienced such tremors since the ones which shook the whole gujarat 15 years ago..
  • Gurgaon - No damage. Sofa I was sitting on moved for a good 10-12 seconds.
  • Delhi - For around 2-5 Minutes though,but very vulnerable!!! Hoping for no SEVERE damage at AFG.
  • Samarkand - I saw and felt doors vibrating
  • New Delhi - Could easily feel the tremor in my basement office on NH - 8, Delhi.
  • Delhi - No such damage noticed but the floor shook quite heavily.
  • Bagram - Walking across an open area and felt as if I was dizzy and would be sick. Several others experienced the same thing.
  • Kabul - No damage in our round but it shaking was strong
  • Tashkent city - Uzoooq qimilladi lekin, boruuuu
  • Bagram - it was slow rumbling at first then it faded then it hit again with hard shaking that was for a 2 min until it slowed back down to slight rumbling then it was over.
  • Jalalabad - lot of shaking
  • Ahmedabad - The door of my office was rattling. My office is on the 7th Floor. No damage was recorded. But it was an earthquake which could be felt without any effort.
  • Sibi - Fan were shaking for a much long duration May Allah protect us. Ameen
  • New Dehli - Felt the ground move, wall hangings swayed slightly.
  • jhajjar - No damage is there so far.
  • chandigarh - i felt doors and windows shaking
  • Tashkent - Shaking lasted about 3 minutes at least.
  • Patiala - No such damage ... Strong tremors indeed.
  • Ashgabat - danger, because 1948 here vas terribli strong earthquake, 2 of 3 of population dead
  • Delhi - Scary, lasted long..

  • Aband - nothing damaged but felt very strong
  • Patiala - the bed shakes and earthquake was of 7.7.
  • Kabul - Television fell, dresser draws opened...building shaking for at least 3 minutes.
  • Hoshiarpur - I was working in my office & suddenly my chair & table were shaking like hell,i immediately left my office & standing on my company road.
  • Tashkent - It was very scary in a 9 storey building, almost all neighbours went outside, 10-15 seconds of strong tremor in Tashkent Uzb.
  • Ahmedabad - No damage it was like shaking a chair and i felt it as if im having a vertigo problem, this feeling was on 6th floor.
  • Jodhpur - Tremors....
  • Delhi - Very much shivering in furniture and strong headache :
  • Almaty - (we were on 20th floor and I felt very weak shaking and felt dizzy. Strange feeling...
  • Ahmedabad - WE are on 6th floor, and we felt weak shacking around 2 seconds approx.
  • Peshawar - I have experienced this earthquake on the ground floor of the 2 storey old masonry loadbearing wall building. Initially light-to-moderate shaking was observed with significant frequency which is followed by strong shaking with high frequency, this was followed by light shaking with low frequency. Ceiling vertically hanging fans were moving severely.
  • Doha - 6th Floor building: 2 sets - second stronger
  • Tashkent - The earthquake was strong, no damage noticed.
  • Ladwa - I was taking my lunch in the office, suddenly my chair started shaking and I felt that someone is shaking my chair but no one was there and I felt 2-3 times again then I realized it is an earthquake. It was so scary. God bless all!!!
  • Kabul - Building shook for approx. 1 1/2 minutes with the strongest shaking occurring at about 45 seconds to 1 minute in.
  • Jalandhar - The building of college was shaking
  • Bagram - Started off with moderate shaking for a minute or so then died down, then started again with more intense movement back and forth, side to side, and up and down. Felt slight motion sickness. Started getting weaker but still felt some slight tremors for a minute or so after that. Entire event took somewhere between maybe 2-3 minutes.
  • Noida - I felt light shaking, no damage all good.
  • Ahmedabad - Oh yeah! I did feel it. Was in my office on the 4th Floor. Felt that distinctive 'chair shake' for about 3 to 4 seconds. Only a few of my colleagues felt it though. God bless everyone.

  • Malerkotla - Very horrible,scary and fasten heartbeats of my and all our locality members
  • Rawalpindi - news says almost 11 dead, 9 in KPK, 1 each Punjab and Khyber Agency
  • Dehradun - I felt the earthquake when I was sitting on my wooden sofa, it started shaking like swing, this went on, I immediately looked at my ceiling fan ,it was shaking at a visible speed, as if enjoying the ride I kept on sitting and did not rush ,started chanting mantras hoping it will end soon
  • Bagram - I felt like I was on a boat as much as it was shaking and making me feel sea sick.
  • Walton Lahore - it was very strong earth-quack. it became horizontal sway in defence chowk walton Lahore Pakistan.
  • Gurgaon - no damages notices I was in office - 2nd floor but escaped through stairs it was really horrible.... water in the bottle kept on table was shaking like anything ....thank god we all r safe ..
  • Ramsara, Bathinda - Was seating in office. At approx. 1440 hrs today, my chair began shaking. After 3-4 minutes it again started shaking. This is first I felt such shaking due to earthquake. Warm all of my colleagues to go out of building till it settles.
  • Almora - My brother could feel the shaking (must be around 2.50pm) but I did not.
  • Mussoorie - Instead of getting scared I was very happy because it's the first earthquake I experienced
  • Mullana - they continued for 3 minutes
  • Lahore - I was on 10th floor of the building and was offering the prayer. Suddenly I felt the shaking and gradually it gets stronger. Ufff It was horrible.
  • Jalandhar , Punjab - Felt the shocks almost everyone ran outside. First time experienced so strong shock in my lifetime of 40 years in this region
  • Okara, Punjab - It lasted for 1-2 minutes. we got out of our houses. everything was shaking
  • Lahore - We were in our class having our Add Maths lesson. I felt the earthquake and told my teacher and he told us to go down quickly.There was moderate shaking but no damage
  • Patiala - This was a very unpleasant sight i felt that the ground was suddenly shaking!I felt it was an earthquake!😨i and my family ran to the garden.Every thing was fine after that no damage
  • Khorog - started slowly and became very strong. damaged plasterer of firs and second floor and entrances of four floors buildings. not any casualties.
  • Delhi - yes it was shaking
  • Kabul - it started slowly i thought it is going to stop i didn't move as i have never experienced such a Earthquake in Kabul Afghanistan, but after 20 or 30 second it got very shaky i even couldn't watch my steps and i run out to street barefoot.it last 3 minutes i think .
  • Pathankot - i was at my office. my chair start shaking around 02 : 30 pm (approx).
  • Tashkent - Quite strong I would say. Some people ran outside.
  • Kabul - we felt a slight shake at first and after about 20 seconds of continuous slight shakes there was a very strong one for a few seconds.

  • chandigarh - Shocks felt in all seven story buildings of the University.
  • Tashkent - I felt a mid-strong earthquake at 2pm (GMT +5). There were 2 or 3 pushes.
  • Islamabad - it was a strong earthquake with lots of noise of shaking of buildings. People rushed out of the buildings towardes open areas.
  • Tashkent - Like a train passing close underneath - floor bouncing and rumbling (2nd floor). Lights flickered. Lasted a couple of minutes.
  • Islamabad - I was at my office in basement and the earthquake impact was so strong even below in basement we felt a good enough jekr for at least a minute
  • Dharamsala Himachal pradesh - No damaged caused but it was scary as my house has a bad foundation and situated on bad location.
  • Taloqan City Center - building swayed for a good 12 seconds. Initial Structural Assessment found no abnormally. Secondary assessment will be done after 48hrs due to foreseen secondary earthquakes to follow within the next 24hrs.
  • City - No prpperty damage but was scary becuase intensity was continuously increasing.
  • Univerity - I was attending my class in my universite in Dushanbe when the building started shaking and we all start running towards the exit and it last more than 1 and half minute. It was terrible but it did not harm anyone around us!
  • Islamabad - No damaged seen till now by myself.Alhamdolillah. God keep my country safe and sound.
  • Sri Ganganagar - Felt like bed and floor was moving. Window panes were also shaking. But no damage to life or property. Safe !
  • Lahore - It was around 2:10 pm. There was strong shaking, and after few seconds, intense shaking and it last for about 2 minutes. That Azab of ALLAH was really very fearful, may Allah almighty forgive us. Ameen
  • Islamabad - The earthquake was initially moderate but after a while it suddenly became so strong that people instinctively ran outside of the buildings. It was terrifying. Luckily there was no significant damage.

  • Sumbal Srinagar - Oh my Almighty I have never seen like this but Alhmdulillah everything is safe but got shocked

  • Noida - Extended shaking felt. 9th floor apartment was experiencing shakes
  • Ahmedabad - I live on 5th floor and suddenly noticed the shaking of earth quake
  • New Delhi - No damage
  • Jaypee University Of Information Technol - Hilly areas even felt
  • alwar - I felt this mild tremor today in the department of physics. My chair went shooking. I went across to inform my trainees. My HOD even felt that and we informed our students to hold on to something.
  • New Delhi - not much...just happy yo help for earthquake science..
  • Gurgaon - I was speaking to my friend on the phone who stays in delhi and all of a sudden he shouted earthquake but it was only after a minute or so that i felt it here in gurgaon as well. The office building was shaking so heavily that everyone rushed out. That was really scary
  • saharanpur - felt quite strongly and for a long time.
  • Ghaziabad - We all left the building & went on road to take precautionary measures.
  • Purkaji/Purquazi/Purkazi Dist-Muzaffarna - Weak shaking for 5 or 6 seconds.
  • CHANDIGARH - Beds windows shake for couple of seconds.
  • Ahmedabad - I felt Earthquake.
  • Islamabad - First wave with a light shaking but it was continuous. It lasted around 10 seconds. Second shake came after which was much stronger and lasted around 30 seconds.
  • Dushanbe - Strong shaking was observed.
  • Islamabad - May Allah forgive us.
  • Gurgaon - no damage
  • Gurgaon - shaked
  • New Delhi - On the 12th floor and noticed the bed shaking then the curtains were swaying for a good four or five minutes. It was mildly alarming.
  • Chandigarh, Punjab - a fan attached to the ceiling fell off ,
  • Chandigarh - i was in office on top building it was horrible experience whole building shaked up
  • Panchkula - Every thing is alright... Felt tremors thrice.

  • Gurgaon - The office started shaking... my office table started shaking... we all got scared... we all went down the building...
  • Noida - Started off weak but grew progressively stronger. No visible damage but ceiling fans and other hanging objects shook quite a lot.
  • Sri Ganganagar - felt shaking for 5 minutes, fans and all hanging items were shaking.No damage.
  • Ahmedabad - we work at 5th floor of a corporate office building and we suddenly felt light shaking , infact the shaking was felt in whole of our building and we all immediately vacated our building
  • Gujarat - Felt weak shaking in high rise building
  • main city - I was at office ...it was very strong shaking..
  • Dushanbe - Ssitting in a hotel room on the 5th floor, the ground was shaking for ca. 20 seconds. No damage in the room, only plaster fall off the roof main entrance outside

  • New Delhi - Experianced very strong shaking no damage because it did not last for more time thank God otherwise it could have surely caused heavy loss

  • Hisar - Moderate shocks though the tremors were there for some time.......no severe damage
  • cahndigarh - No damage but earthquakes was very storong
  • bagram - Loud, low frequency noise followed by about 30 seconds of shaking.

    People :
    Felt by persons at rest, on upper floors or favorably placed.
    MMI III (Weak shaking) ?
    People :
    Felt indoors; hanging objects may swing, vibration similar to passing of light trucks, duration may be estimated, may not be recognized as an earthquake.
    MMI IV (Light shaking) ?
    People :
    Generally noticed indoors but not outside. Light sleepers may be awakened. Vibration may be likened to the passing of heavy traffic, or to the jolt of a heavy object falling or striking the building.
    Fittings :
    Doors and windows rattle. Glassware and crockery rattle. Liquids in open vessels may be slightly disturbed. Standing motorcars may rock.
    Structures :
    Walls and frames of buildings, and partitions and suspended ceilings in commercial buildings, may be heard to creak.
    MMI V (Moderate shaking) ?
    People :
    Generally felt outside, and by almost everyone indoors. Most sleepers awakened. A few people alarmed.
    Fittings :
    Small unstable objects are displaced or upset. Some glassware and crockery may be broken. Hanging pictures knock against the wall. Open doors may swing. Cupboard doors secured by magnetic catches may open. Pendulum clocks stop, start, or change rate.
    Structures :
    Some large display windows cracked. A few earthenware toilet fixtures cracked.
    MMI VI (Strong shaking) ?
    People Felt by all. People and animals alarmed. Many run outside. Difficulty experienced in walking steadily.
    Fittings :
    Objects fall from shelves. Pictures fall from walls. Some furniture moved on smooth floors, some unsecured free-standing fireplaces moved. Glassware and crockery broken. Very unstable furniture overturned. Small church and school bells ring. Appliances move on bench or table tops. Filing cabinets or "easy glide" drawers may open (or shut).
    Structures :
    Slight damage to buildings with low standard. Some stucco or cement plaster falls. Large display windows broken. Damage to a few weak domestic chimneys, some may fall.
    Environment :
    Trees and bushes shake, or are heard to rustle. Loose material may be dislodged from sloping ground, e.g. existing slides, talus slopes, shingle slides.
    MMI VII (Very strong shaking) ?
    People
    General alarm. Difficulty experienced in standing. Noticed by motorcar drivers who may stop.
    Fittings :
    Large bells ring. Furniture moves on smooth floors, may move on carpeted floors. Substantial damage to fragile contents of buildings.
    Structures :
    Unreinforced stone and brick walls cracked. Low standard buildings cracked with some minor masonry falls. A few instances of damage to buildings of ordinary workmanship. Unbraced parapets, unbraced brick gables, and architectural ornaments fall. Roofing tiles, especially ridge tiles may be dislodged. Many unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, often falling from roof-line. Water tanks Type I burst. A few instances of damage to brick veneers and plaster or cement-based linings. Unrestrained water cylinders (hot-water cylinders) may move and leak. Some common windows cracked. Suspended ceilings damaged.
    Environment :
    Water made turbid by stirred up mud. Small slides such as falls of sand and gravel banks, and small rock-falls from steep slopes and cuttings. Instances of settlement of unconsolidated or wet, or weak soils. Some fine cracks appear in sloping ground. A few instances of liquefaction (i.e. small water and sand ejections).
    MMI VIII (Severe shaking) ?
    People Alarm may approach panic. Steering of motorcars greatly affected. Structures : Low standard buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. ordinary workmanship buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged in some cases. A few instances of damage to buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes. Monuments and pre-1976 elevated tanks and factory stacks twisted or brought down. Some pre-1965 infill masonry panels damaged. A few post-1980 brick veneers damaged. Decayed timber piles of houses damaged. Houses not secured to foundations may move. Most unreinforced domestic chimneys damaged, some below roof-line, many brought down. Environment : Cracks appear on steep slopes and in wet ground. Small to moderate slides in roadside cuttings and unsupported excavations. Small water and sand ejections and localized lateral spreading adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
    MMI IX (Violent shaking) ?
    Structures Many low standard buildings destroyed. Ordinary workmanship buildings heavily damaged, some collapse. Reinforced masonry or concrete buildings damaged, some with partial collapse. Buildings and bridges designed and built to resist earthquakes damaged in some cases, some with flexible frames seriously damaged. Damage or permanent distortion to some buildings and bridges, designed and built to normal use standards. Houses not secured to foundations shifted off. Brick veneers fall and expose frames. Environment : Cracking of ground conspicuous. Landsliding general on steep slopes. Liquefaction effects intensified and more widespread, with large lateral spreading and flow sliding adjacent to streams, canals, lakes, etc.
