A friend of mine just told me that movie theaters across the nation will soon be showing the movie 1984 in protest of the Trump administration. My friend looked at me incredulously and asked, “Where the hell were these people during the Obama administration?”
Now I couldn’t be more for millions of people watching 1984, I don’t care why. I’m not sure how seeing the movie (or reading the book) can’t convince many of the people who watch it of the dangers of big government, such as the kind advocated by many of Trump’s opponents. Please do watch the movie. Many times.
Not that Trump is a small government guy of course as his recent round with The Freedom Caucus clearly demonstrates. But it seems odd that people fear the government NOW. Why? Because the propaganda machine in the #oldmedia has told you to be fearful? What world were these people living in for the last 16 years. Yeah! Go watch the movie. Drink it in deep. Then join the ACTUAL RESISTANCE, the TEA Party.
What the TEA party is all about is fundamentally is in the acronym T-E-A. Taxed – Enough – Already. It is a stand against a continually expanding government. It resists the empire. It resists the faceless unicorporatism of socialism. It opposes 1 size fits all central planning. It stands for following The Constitution. It stands for liberty.
It is not a socially conservative movement. It is fundamentally about economic and rule of law issues.
Again it is the ACTUAL RESISTANCE.
Is opposing Trump all bad? No it is not. But thinking that Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, George Soros, and the DNC crew are preferable is just folly. The establishment Dems are corporatists. They are corporate socialists who love the state and who seek to micromanage society while making themselves rich. These are the people who should be resisted first. Trump should then be “resisted” to the degree that his agenda falls in line with the corporate socialists. Ryancare is a great example.
The TEA Party is about due for a renaissance. It is time for the TEA Party to again hold the GOP and leadership responsible. It’s time for people to consider primary challenges against the Republicans who refuse to change. Eric Cantor was primaried. Boehner was run out of town. Who’s next?
Who, is, next?
