Uber Needs a Tune Up… It’s Getting a Paint Job

An Uber IPO is rumored to be on its way, but in the meantime, the company needs to spend more time in the shop.

No doubt, Uber is one of the hottest names on the market, luring billions of dollars in venture capital. But it’s also hit its fair share of speed bumps.

At varying times the ride rental company has been dented by criticisms from drivers, riders, competitors and journalists. It’s been accused of attacking the media, manipulating the public and putting women in danger. It’s been sideswiped for its chauvinistic attitude towards women, its harassment of journalists, and in some cases, its harassment female journalists.
